At the conclusion of our World Cup run we look at the top 5 speedsters of the team.

Currently the average top speed in the tournament sits between 31 - 32 Km/h & the top speeds sitting between 36 - 37 Km/h

Swipe to see who is on top 🕺🏾

Club: AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 2, France)
Age: 23
Position: Attacking midfielder / left-back option
No of World Cups: 1

While this was Oldies top speed at the World Cup he is known to be a regular at over 34km/h, with his amazing agility, and rapid acceleration of the mark which makes him hard to defend.

Club: Minnesota United (MLS)
Age:36
Position: Centre-back
No of World Cups: 1

Age ain’t nothing but a number when it comes to Boxy. He is a regular or known to hit speeds at club level ranging from 35-36 Km/h, a speed that places him up the top end for fastest players. So seeing him in our top 5 is no surprise to me.

Club: Portland Timbers (MLS)
Age: 22
Position: Centre-back
No of World Cups: 1

The pace of the 🪵. Finn makes it look easy with the long strides which can be deceiving until he catches you and leaves you wondering. Typically Finn can reach max speed of 34 Km/h.

Club: Club Olimpia (Paraguay)
Age: 32
Position: Right-back / Center -Back
No of World Cups: 1

Dale Dale Tim, Tim is no foreigner to top speeds. In Tim Payne standards this would be considered slow. He is a regular at speeds of 36 Km/h+

Having had an athletic background and consistently worked on speed Tim is able to accelerate and reach top speed in a short distance. No surprise to see him in our Top 5.

Club: Dundee United
Age: 23 (born 19 August 2002
Position: Left winger / forward
No of World Cups: 1

For those who know Jesse from local club football to the A league he was known for his rapid acceleration and leaving most defender caught stuck in the mud. He was a key attacking player for Auckland FC which left many teams defence standing still. He is now off to the Scottish premiership where they will soon find out if you not on your toes, you in trouble.
