🏏 U9 Adil Rashid Softball Tournament 🏏

Great effort from all our U9s who took part today! πŸ’›

We made it through to the semi-final, where we were beaten by Harden CC. Elliot Bradley hit 22 runs in the semi-final, but it wasn’t enough to get us through. There was some fantastic fielding and teamwork throughout the day.

⭐ Jack Lambert – 52 runs
⭐ Nate Carson – 48 runs
⭐ Jacob Gillam – 46 runs

And a special shoutout to Jack Lambert, who picked up Bowler of the Tournament after taking an incredible 7 wickets, including 3 in one over! πŸ‘πŸ”₯

A brilliant team effort from everyone – well done, U9s! πŸ’›πŸ

WOW!!! πŸ€©πŸπŸ’›

What a turnout… and what an incredible day!

There will be plenty more to come from the day, but for now, we just wanted to share this video of every single person who took part. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’›

How amazing is it to see so many ladies playing cricket together in one afternoon?! From first-timers to experienced players, everyone getting involved, having fun and creating something really special.

We are incredibly grateful to every single player, supporter, volunteer and everyone who helped make the day what it was.

This is what cricket is all about. This is what our club is all about. 🫢🏏

What a fantastic evening we had last night for our Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί vs Rest of the World 🌍 T20!

Despite the poor weather throughout the day, thankfully the rain held off and we couldn’t be more grateful for the fantastic support at the clubhouse.

A massive thank you to all of the players who travelled over to take part β€” we really appreciate you joining us and helping make the evening such a success! πŸ‘

And a special thank you to Trent and Jonny for all their hard work behind the scenes, helping arrange the game and getting the ground ready. We couldn’t do these events without people willing to put in the time and effort. πŸ’›

And of course… a huge well done to the Rest of the World 🌍 on another win this year! πŸ† It’s becoming a bit of a habit now! πŸ˜‚

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along, supported the club and made it such a brilliant night.

From everyone at Barnoldswick Cricket Club β€” thank you! πŸ’›πŸ

Please note that tonight's game will now be a 100 ball fixture due to potentially losing light. 🏏

⚠️ Important Reminder to Parents & Spectators ⚠️

With cricket taking place at the club tonight, please can all parents and spectators be mindful that cricket balls can travel quickly and unexpectedly beyond the playing area.

We ask that parents keep a close eye on their children and ensure they are positioned safely, particularly when matches are in play.

Whilst we take reasonable steps to maintain a safe environment, cricket does carry inherent risks, and Barnoldswick Cricket Club cannot accept liability for injury caused by a cricket ball.
