What a night for this crew tonight. It was on from the start and went hard for a solid 2 hours. Faces tell the story. Well done to them. It’s important to test yourself regularly. Not for any other reason but to feel alive.

JUJITSU SEMINAR
A massive shot out to TACTICAL JUJITSU with Professor George Adams and his Students, John and Tim Ellis, and Lisa for coming and teaching us their art. 3 hours of "rolling" was a perfect insight and a wonderful celebration of the legacy of Soke Richard Norton.

YOUNG GUNS 💪🥋
They started when they were 5, 6 and 7 years of age. Now aged from 13 to 16, Oliver, Kyle, Josh and Ashton have trained most of their lives in our Martial Arts system, becoming good supportive training buddies when the training sessions and Gradings have been tough. It’s definitely had a positive impact on their physical structure, their strength and high standard skill abilities. What’s more important though is the confidence and self assured young men they are becoming, setting an excellent example for others to follow..... And of course the "guns" competition that’s started between them 🤜🤛

THE WEEK THAT WAS
It was all about detail after our Gradings last week. A small snapshot of the 26 sessions we hold in a week. Leo age 5 received his Yellow Belt. Billy joined our Blackbelts this morning, and some video of some drills through the week.

BRAIDWOOD 2026 GRADINGS.
I couldn't be more pleased and proud of Mechaela, my Braidwood Instructor and her students. What they achieved in over a 3 hour Grading last Saturday was just perfect in celebrating our 4 year anniversary for the Braidwood community. Well done Braidwood, you were a pleasure to Grade. A special thank you to Mechaela’s parents, Karl and Collette Baumann for alway supporting JSPD either hosting a BBQ after Gradings, or making their property available to our Sydney members traveling to support these events in Braidwood. A perfect combination by everyone to make our Gradings so community based. Well done again Braidwood. James Sheedy.

2026 - MID YEAR GRADING.
What a spectacular Grading on Friday night. So impressed with how Blackbelts and Students just lifted that extra. Gradings are an integral part of a martial artists development and growth. So important to be tested and deal with the emotions thst come with it. Congratulations to this 2026 crew.

YOUNG GUN BLACKBELTS
Definitely an opportunity for some of our Young Gun Blackbelts to show their stuff at Friday night’s Grading. Oliver, Marcus, Joshua and Ashton set the best example for what can be achieved.
