We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible success of our coaches and students who competed at the Australian Jiu Jitsu Championship over the weekend.
The team brought home a whole bunch of medals in every colour, but more importantly, they brought the true spirit of Legacy with them, supporting each other, stepping up for one another, and representing our family with pride.
Every medal tells a different story of hard work, discipline and commitment, but so does every match, every round and every moment of stepping outside your comfort zone.
Well done to everyone who competed, and especially to those who overcame their nerves, doubts, injuries, tough matches and challenges to step onto the mats and give it everything they had!
We’re so proud of every single one of you. Your dedication, your resilience and the way you continue to push each other forward is what makes this team so special.

Starting something new can feel intimidating.
You might worry about not knowing what you’re doing, being the least experienced person in the room, not being fit enough or simply not knowing anyone.
But the truth is, everyone starts somewhere.
You don’t need to be fit, experienced or confident before you start. You just need to be willing to give it a go.
The hardest part is usually walking through the door.
Once you're on the mat, you're just learning.
One class at a time.
If you've been thinking about trying BJJ, this is your sign to stop overthinking it and come give it a go. 🥋

If you feel like you've been stuck for a while, it's probably not your talent or potential, it's your approach. Most people train hard but few train smart.
Progress in BJJ isn't random, it's intentional. In this post, we've listed some of the potential reasons you may feel like you aren't improving.
➡️ Pick one (or more) fix from this post
➡️ Apply it this week
➡️ Be consistent with it
Small adjustments add up ➡️ big results over time.

Not all martial arts are built the same. BJJ isn't about who hits hardest, it's about who can control the fight regardless of size or strength. It sharpens your body, your mind and your ability to handle real situations, on and off the mats. 🥋
