Freshwater SLSC is running a come and try surfboat session for our younger members, and we’d love to see plenty of you down there!
Whether you’ve never stepped into a surfboat before or you’re just keen to give it a go, this is an awesome chance to jump in and give it a try.

Freshwater SLSC is proud to introduce our new Head Coach, Ariki Pearson - a man whose life has been shaped by the ocean and the athletes who thrive in it.
With five New Zealand Surf Ironman titles to his name, Ariki brings world-class experience in both high-performance competition and elite coaching. His background spans decades of surf sports, lifeguarding and athlete development, including coaching national level competitors in New Zealand and supporting athletes on the international stage.
This season, we’re excited to welcome Ariki as head coach of Freshie and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on our athletes, programs and our club culture.

Big shoutout to our awesome youth crew at Freshie. You guys keep our beach buzzing and are becoming our next generation of lifesavers. Thanks for showing up, giving your time and making a difference every day. We are super proud of all of you!!
