"One of the simplest ways to get stronger is to gradually do a little more."
This concept is called Progressive Overload, and it's one of the keys to building strength.
It simply means asking your muscles to do slightly more over time.
At RE-VIVE this might look like:
• Increasing spring resistance on the Reformer.
• Adding an extra repetition.
• Progressing to a more challenging variation.
Small increases create big results when repeated consistently.
💪 Comment "PROGRESS" if you're focused on getting stronger this year.

"Can Pilates really build strength?"
Absolutely.
While many people think Pilates is just stretching, modern Pilates—especially on the Reformer—is one of the most effective ways to build functional strength.
At RE-VIVE, our Reformer Strength classes are specifically designed to challenge your muscles safely and effectively.
Here's how:
• Resistance from the springs helps build muscular strength.
• Controlled movements create deep muscle activation.
• Progressive exercises allow you to get stronger over time.
Strength training doesn't have to mean lifting heavy weights in a gym.

"One of the biggest fears women have as they get older is losing their independence."
Most women don't wake up one day worried about lifting heavier weights. They're worried about being able to carry groceries, travel confidently, get up from the floor, or keep up with grandchildren.
The good news? Strength is something you can build at any age.
Here are three reasons strength matters after 40:
• Strong muscles support healthy joints and reduce aches and pains.
• Strength improves balance and helps prevent falls.
• Building muscle helps maintain independence as we age.
At RE-VIVE, we're not just exercising for today—we're building strength for life.
💪 Comment "STRONG" if staying active and independent is important to you.

Which is your favourite??

I totally agree with this!
Loving yourself is key, if you want to draw in some real love. We all have our quirks, and I've heard that 'healing takes courage'. Realizing your flaws and accepting yourself as you are, is the first move toward becoming your true self.

Whenever I go for a run I listen to an audiobook or a podcast. I find it far more peaceful than listening to music. I get lost in the story, or the lesson and somehow the kilometres just tick over.
I have created a list of a few of my favourites. Inspiring and personal stories seem to capture my attention the most. There is always something to learn from others.
Which books or podcasts would you recommend??

Anyone who knows me, will tell you that I am my happiest when cooking a meal for those that I love. Being in the kitchen, wholesome ingredients and time to create a nourishing meal is something that truly resets me.
I know cooking isn't everyone's favourite, especially when it becomes a chore.
I love turning simple ingredients into delicious food. It is meditative for me, it's soothing something that I truly love doing.
Have you created any deeper rituals for yourself this winter?
