You’re losing weight on GLP-1. But here’s what nobody tells you.

Not all of it is fat.

A study by Prado, Phillips, Gonzalez et al. (2024) found that 25–39% of weight loss on GLP-1 medications can come from lean body mass. Not just fat.

And for women over 40, that matters more than most people realise.

Muscle is your metabolism. It’s helps improve bone density. It’s what keeps you strong, functional, and burning fat efficiently for the next 20, 30, 40 years.

Lose it now and keeping the weight off becomes a whole lot harder.

The good news? You can prevent it. Or at least significantly limit it.

Strength training + adequate protein = the two things that shift the ratio back in your favour.
