Civeoβs hospitality teams are making their mark across Australia.
A huge congratulations to our Prominent Hill team, named 2026 South Australian Industrial Caterer at the Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.
This award is a fantastic recognition of the hard work, passion and team spirit that goes into creating a great experience for our guests every day. From early starts to busy service periods, it's the people behind the scenes who make achievements like this possible.
The achievement adds to an exciting awards season for Civeo, with St Ives Village in WA and Moranbah Village in QLD also taking home state honours. π
We're incredibly proud of all three teams and can't wait to cheer them on as they represent their states at the National Awards for Excellence later this year.
For now though, we're celebrating this well-deserved win and finding a little more room in the trophy cabinet π

What does a career in resources, hospitality or village operations actually look likeβ
These were some of the conversations we had while taking part in Middlemount Community Schoolβs My Brilliant Future Day last week.
The event brought together students, parents and local businesses to explore career pathways, share experiences and provide real-world insights into life after school.
Our team enjoyed connecting with students, answering questions about opportunities in our industry and providing a BBQ lunch for attendees. Most importantly, it was a chance to encourage young people as they begin thinking about what their future could look like.
It's always rewarding to support initiatives that help young people explore what's possible and connect classrooms with real-world opportunitiesπ

A well-deserved win for St Ives Village! πβ¨
We're thrilled to celebrate St Ives Village receiving a 2026 WA
Restaurant & Catering Australia Hostplus Award for Excellence.
While great hospitality starts with great food, awards like this recognise so much more. They celebrate the teamwork, care, consistency and commitment that go into creating a positive experience for every guest, every day.
This recognition belongs to the entire village team whose hard work behind the scenes continues to make St Ives a standout destination.
Congratulations on this fantastic achievement and on representing Civeo so proudly on the industry stage π π

Another site, mobilised! β
Following a fast-paced turnaround from contract award to operational readiness, our teams have worked around the clock to bring our latest site mobilisation to life, ensuring that the site was safe, compliant and ready to welcome our residents from day one.
Whether under the daytime sun or lit up at night, the site is a reflection of the dedication, collaboration and effort that goes into every mobilisation.
Great work to everyone involved in reaching this major milestone! π

As we move into Djilba, also known as the Season of Conception in the Noongar Six Seasons, we begin to see the first signs of new life emerge across Country: Wildflowers begin to bloom, young animals venture out with their mothers and days grow warmer with longer periods of sunshine. πΌπ¦β
Like the season itself, Djilba is a time of preparing for what's ahead. It encourages us to reset, embrace healthy habits and make space for growth.
Across our villages, culinary teams are also celebrating Djilba with fresh flavours and vibrant ingredients of the season, energising residents as we move into the warmer months.

Congratulations to Moranbah Village for taking home the 2026 Restaurant & Catering Australia Hostplus Awards for Excellence in the Industrial Caterer category! π
Announced at the awards gala hosted in Gold Coast, the accolade recognises excellence across every aspect of catering operations, from food quality and service delivery to team performance and overall dining experience.
With both Moranbah Village and SPV Dysart Village nominated in this year's awards, it's fantastic to see the exceptional work of our village teams recognised on the industry stage.
We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved achievement. Shoutout to the village teams who traded uniforms for formal wear and proved that award-winning hospitality comes with award-worthy style, too! π

As Makuru draws to an end, we reflect on a season centred around warmth, not only in the food we eat, but also in the comfort we share with those around us.
During Makuru, Noongar people relied on seasonal food sources to sustain their communities for nourishment through the coldest and wettest time of the year.
Across our villages, our culinary teams have also embraced the season by incorporating native ingredients rooted in Country, from plants such as samphire (Sea Asparagus), pigface (Karkalla), saltbush (Old Man / Ruby Saltbush), bush tomatoes (Kutjera), to proteins such as kangaroos (Yongka), emus (Wetj) and lamb.
Our talented culinary teams are creating standout dishes such as Warrigal Greens Casserole, Pulled Kangaroo and Bush Tomato Sliders and Roast Lamb with Illawarra Plum Glaze. Hearty and nourishing, perfect for a cold night for our residents bracing the cold weather in Makuru.
Beyond the meals themselves, these seasonal menus offer a way to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures and celebrate native ingredients that have sustained communities for generations.
What's one warming dish youβre making these days? Share it in the comments below!

The best part of recruitment? Meeting the people behind the applications. π
Last week, we welcomed aspiring and experienced chefs to our recruitment event, where candidates had the opportunity to learn more about village life, hear directly from our team, take part in a cooking activity, and gain a better understanding of what a career with Civeo can offer. It was great to see so many people genuinely exploring what their next chapter could look like.
A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and shared their time, experiences and enthusiasm with us. We look forward to staying in touch with the talented chefs and welcoming the next generation of Civeo chefs onboard! π§πΌβπ³
