One week left of our School Holiday Intensives swim program! πŸŠβ€β™€οΈβ„οΈ

Spots are filling fast for our final week of lessons, running until 17 July.

Swimming lessons don't need to stop when the temperature drops. In fact, winter is one of the best times for children to build confidence, improve their skills and stay active.

As our City of Sydney Aquatics Manager Steph Barnes says, "Swimming isn't a seasonal activity. Like any life skill, swimming needs regular practice."

πŸ’¦ 30-minute intensive lessons
πŸ’¦ Beginner to advanced levels
πŸ’¦ Nationally accredited instructors
πŸ’¦ More consistency = more progress

This NAIDOC Week, we recognise 50 years of celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The 2026 theme, 50 Years of Deadly, marks a significant milestone and reflects on the contributions of Elders, leaders and communities across the country.

This week, we take the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives, and to reflect on their ongoing contributions to our communities.

πŸ’™ Our Learn to Swim students had a fantastic time recently during Life Jacket Safety Week!

They built important water safety skills while getting comfortable wearing life jackets in the pool.

Throughout the week, they practised:
πŸ’¦ Safe entries and exits
πŸ’¦ Floating with support
πŸ’¦ Moving through the water confidently
πŸ’¦ Using the β€œhelp position” to stay calm and conserve energy
We also explored when life jackets are essential β€” from boating and rivers to rock fishing and emergency situations.

It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and growing confidence in the water πŸ‘
