AXE THROWING X BOOMERS

Last Friday, our WBL squad headed to Throw Axe in Penrith for a night of axe throwing, team bonding and plenty of laughs.

With the season kicking off this week, it was the perfect chance to spend some time together, have a bit of fun and build on the connection we’ve made throughout preseason.

A huge thank you to Throw Axe for hosting us. We had a great night, but it’s safe to say we won’t be giving up baseball for axe throwing anytime soon.

WHAT A GAME!!! 🔥

The Boomers SL have kicked off the season with a BANG!

From the first pitch to the final out, every player brought their A-game. Strong fielding, big hits and plenty of energy saw the Boomers stay in front throughout the game.

⚾ Cohen Beasley delivered a great pitching performance
💥 Jaylen Stacey smashed a triple
🧤 Noah Beasley caught the entire game
🔥 Jess Kennedy came through with a beautiful hit to the outfield

The game finished 13–7 to the Boomers, securing a massive opening-round win and putting us at the top of the table!

It’s a long season ahead, but this team is committed, hungry and ready to keep building on this effort.

WHAT A SEASON! 🏆

The boys have had an incredible season, finishing with just one loss and one forfeit all year. They came into today ready to leave it all on the field — and they did exactly that.

Congratulations to every single player, to the coach Jay Niven, scorer Belinda Niven and every supporter who has been part of this season. Boomers are incredibly proud of you all.

And what a special win for our 40-year history. The last time the Boomers took out the Metro Div 1 premiership was back in 2007 — 19 years later, we’ve brought it home again!

It’s going to be a huge day for the Boomers! With Grand Final baseball on the line, the club is ready to bring the energy to Tregear Reserve.

The last time the Boomers won a Grand Final was 2007… and 19years later, we have the chance to do it again.
