🎈When was the last time you took a moment to just stop, breathe, and enjoy the water? 🌊✨
⛴️Sometimes walking down to Cronulla Wharf and seeing the historic MV Curranulla resting by the jetty is all it takes to reset for the week. There is so much peace in these simple Shire views. 💚💛
Hearing everyone’s favorite memories lately—from morning swims at Horderns Beach to finding the rock carvings past Jibbon—reminds me how lucky we are to have this right on our doorstep.
⛴️ If you're planning a little escape across Port Hacking soon, just keep in mind that single adult ferry fares are now $9.40 each way ($4.70 concession). I’ve pinned the full fare breakdown in the comments to help you plan your next day trip!

🎈This view never gets old! 😍 Walking down towards Cronulla Wharf on a bright day like this is pure peace. Hard to believe this is our winter weather in Sydney! ☀️🌴
Looking at the water and the Bundeena ferry pulled up makes me want to jump on board for a quick day trip across Port Hacking.
Have you had a chance to get down by the water and enjoy this perfect sunshine today? ⛴️✨🌊

🌞Soaking in the bright blue skies and gorgeous crisp air around Gunnamatta Bay!
🎈Historic landmarks like the Gunnamatta Pavilion always bring out the classic charm of the coastline. There is truly nothing quite like spending a sunny afternoon wandering past the water, catching the ocean breeze, and taking in the beauty of the Shire. 🌊✨

If you grew up in the Shire, there’s a 99% chance you swallowed your first mouthful of salt water right here. 🌊
🎈Gunnamatta Bay Baths: where half of Cronulla learned how to swim, dive off the jetty structure, and spend endless summer afternoons.
Drop your best Gunnamatta memories below—who else remembers school swimming lessons or childhood afternoons here?

Okay, Shelly Beach and Oak Park lovers... don't come for me! 🤣
After my visit to the Royal Motor Yacht Club, I proceeded to the Tonkin Park side of Gunnamatta Bay and found THIS.
Sunny, sparkling, kids having a swim right at the edge, locals fishing off the wharf, and that perfect bench under the tree to just watch it all.
Is it calmer than Shelly? Maybe. Is it as pretty as Oak Park? Different kind of pretty. Let's just say I'm adding it to my favourites list and NOT ranking them, so we all stay friends!
Which team are you - Shelly, Oak Park, or Gunnamatta Bay? Or like me, all three? 👇

Found it! 📍 Gunnamatta Park
I stopped at this Local Directory map and realised how much there is around here — Gunnamatta Bay Baths right behind me, Gunnamatta Wharf for the ferry to Bundeena, and all the parks in between!
Still exploring my way around Cronulla and learning every corner. Locals — what should I check next around here?

Another side of Cronulla I’m falling in love with 💙
🎈This is Gunnamatta Bay — no big waves here, just calm water, families on the sand, birds floating by, and that view over to Gunnamatta Park. So peaceful compared to the ocean beaches.
I took this from up near Gunnamatta Wharf — same wharf where the ferry leaves for Bundeena (thank you Anne Webster for all your tips on my last post! 🙏).
Is this your favourite spot for a quiet swim or do you love the surf side more? Let me know — still learning all the local secrets!
