MYTH: Running wears out your knees.
FACT: A review of more than 125,000 people found recreational runners actually had less knee arthritis than non-runners. Your knee cartilage adapts to healthy loading much like muscles adapt to strength training.
Movement is medicine. Healthy joints are designed to move. The real enemy isn't running—it's years of inactivity, weak muscles, excess weight, or previous injury. You don't need to run for healthy joints, you just need to be active, build strength, get moving.
