Showing up is a lot easier when you enjoy the environment you’re training in.

A place where you feel welcome. Where you feel comfortable asking questions or asking for modifications. Where you genuinely leave feeling better than when you walked in.

Now, don’t get me wrong…

You’re not going to wake up every single day excited to train. There will be mornings where you’d rather stay in bed, afternoons when work has been draining, and cold winter nights where home is the only place you want to be.

Consistency will always require discipline.

But discipline is a whole lot easier to practise when you’re walking into a place where you feel comfortable, supported, and like you genuinely belong.

The right environment won’t remove the need for discipline but it can make showing up feel a whole lot easier.

Every single day, you have a choice.

No matter what you do, something is going to feel hard.

You can choose the short-term hard:
• Getting out of bed when it’s cold
• Pushing through one more rep
• Going for the walk instead of staying on the couch scrolling
• Saying no to another excuse

Or you can choose the long-term hard:
• Feeling weak
• Struggling anytime your heart rate is elevated
• Starting over again
• Wishing you’d been more consistent
• Your confidence plummeting

Hard truth: there is no easy option. Every choice comes with a cost.

The short-term hard builds a stronger you.
The long-term hard slowly takes you further away from the person you want to become.

Stop asking yourself “What’s easier?”

Ask yourself:
“Which choice will I thank myself for six months from now?”

Choose the hard that gets you closer to where you want to be 💛

Don’t let the winter excuses win. ❄️

👎 It’s not too cold to train.
👎 You won’t feel better because you skipped your workout.
👎 You don’t need to hibernate under a blanket.
👎 Yes, it DOES matter if you skip your session.

Here’s why.

Missing one workout won’t undo all of your progress. But giving in to the excuses reinforces the habit of choosing comfort over commitment.

Your mindset is a muscle, and it needs training just as much as your body.

Every time you show up when you don’t feel like it (when it’s cold, dark, raining, or all you want to do is stay home), you build discipline. And discipline is what creates consistency. Consistency is what gets results.

Anyone can train when motivation is high. But we don't want to just be anyone.

It’s not tough love. It’s just the truth. 💛

SOPHIA is 40!! Happy birthday to you. Sophia has been apart of our community from day one and she continues to lighten up our days whenever she is around. Sophia loves her Pilates with Liv, she is involved in all of of our creative community events, thrives at all the Aligned parties and especially loves the dance classes.
