Not usually one for trends… but this one felt worth making space for!

Honoring how multi-layered it is to be a woman.

You can train, exercise, and move your body with endometriosis 💛
The one thing to drop: comparing your body to someone who doesn’t carry this.
Your pace, your capacity, your good days, they’re allowed to look different.
Save this if you need a reminder coming from the heart.

Back Squats when having Endometriosis or Adenomyosis?

Back squats and I have a bit of a history! 🙃

There was a time I did them and were chasing the number, then less the number but still often, quite heavy.

Then Endo official diagnosis came and ouffff this hit me hard, even though I assumed it for years and it was kind of no news. And regarding those squats… I stopped them altogether. Just… cut them totally out.

But here’s what I’ve learned since: I don’t need to abandon them completely. I just need to actually listen.

Some days now that still means a real, heavyish back squat. Other days, flare days, or the kind of tired that hits no matter what, it means going lighter, or most often swapping into a leg press instead!

And on the mental side: I used to think that meant I was failing, when noticing, I really struggle with an exercise or the weight, where other days I could. Now I know it means I’m listening.

May this guide one or the other Endo sister here too 🤍

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts, or how your training may or may not has changed! Xx
