Race 1 2YO 1100m
BOMBAY BOOM can hold a position from an inside gate, THE PLAYWRIGHT and GALLO NERO both have shown good speed in their respective trials, ICARIAN DREAM can get a push across into a position by those out wide. She looks to get the right run here ICARIAN DREAM and she has the race experience on her rivals here coming through the Golden Gift last start where she became unbalanced on the turn before quickening into the race and finishing off well behind North England when 4th only beaten just over a length. Prior to that she was a good winner on debut over 100m at Warwick Farm. She gets here 3 weeks between runs + stays at the 1100m + she has experience around the Rosehill turn and she maps to get the run of the race following rolling leaders, from there with her turn of speed she is the one they all need to beat.
Danger: GALLO NERO
Next best: FERMOY + BUCKEYE

Race 3 Midway BM72 2000m
PATRIKA MIST looks the likely leader, EXTREME FREEDOM and COSMIC LAD can both push forward from their draws and take near pace positions over 2000m. She is well set up TOTOKA stepping to the 2000m for the first time in her career and she gives the indication that she will enjoy the step up in trip. The Perry trained filly has been good this preparation hitting the line well three back in Midway grade over 1400m at Rosehill behind Alabama State which ties into the fav PIRAEUS, before acquitting herself well in group class her past two including a last start 2.3L defeat behind Snitzanova running on well against the bias on a day it was advantageous to be up and inside. She continues to race well deep into her preparation + steps to 2000m which looks ideal + maps to settle much closer from an inside draw and she finds a track with the edge off. With 52kg on her back (66 rater) she is thrown in at the weights and with progression to 2000m, she can’t do anything but run well here, over the odds.
Danger: PIRAEUS
Next best: COSMIC LAD + EXTREME FREEDOM
Selections: 13-1-9-5
BET: NO BET
Race 4 BM78 1400m
REDBREAST and DRIFT NET look the likely leaders, SHES UNUSUAL and TERRESTAR can settle near pace from inside barriers in what looks a moderate tempo on paper. SHE’S UNUSUAL looks to have returned in good order this campaign and she looks well suited here to run a good race first up into her summer campaign. The O’Shea and Charlton trained mare was put out a winner after making a mess of her rivals at the Kensington track racing away to score by 2.5L eased down on a soft track which she relishes. She has been given two trials this time in over 850m and 1050m where she has shown good speed, hitting the line under her own steam in the latest behind subsequent Saturday winner Imintowin in a fast trial which gives here a good grounding for 1400m FU. She gets here FU (3:2:1:0) where she is effective + 1400m with blinkers on looks ideal and she finds a wet track which she needs (5:3:2:0). From the gate, expect her to get a push across with REDBREAST and with any luck slotting in she is hard to beat.
Danger: REDBREAST
Next best: DRIFT NET + CALLISTEMON

BET: Like 10 ew on wet
Race 5 BM78 1800m
SOLDIER OF ROME and ZOUATICA can both push forward and look for near pace positions in what looks a rolling tempo over 1800m. This is a better set up for BULLETS HIGH, peaking 4th up, stepping to 1800m. The Joe Pride trained galloper has been a model of consistency this preparation hitting the line well behind Battleton SU at Rosehill after getting too far back, before just hacing too much to do last start over 1600m at Newcastle when back in the field and hookng into the wind when only beaten 0.06L behind Dazzle Legend. He has been given two weeks between runs + gets to 1800m + maps to get the run of the race from a good draw and he is adaptable on soft ground. Expect to see him settle in behind the lead division and a repeat of his last two sees him in the finish.

Race 7 Starlight Stakes 1100m
TRISTATE looks the natural leader, FRONT PAGE, FIRE STAR and EAGLE NEST can all land near pace in what looks a fast tempo on paper. Tricky race on paper, and with the good speed up front CONTEMPORARY gets his chance to finish ove the top and his last two fresh performances have been his best to date including a big win over 1100m at Hawkesbury rounding up the field on a wet track, before scoring over 1200m last preparation on a Heavy 8 making ground in the worst part of the track. He rounded out last preparation with a placing behind JEDIBEEL in the July Sprint who he meets 2.5kg better off at the weights, before scoring in 88 grade coming from the tail of the field. He has been given two trials in readiness for this over 1100m where he has looked the part + gets in with 55.5kg + is suited with any rain that falls on raceday and maps tp get last look at these swooping off a hot tempo, each way.
Danger: PEREILLE

Race 8 Festival Stakes 1500m
FELIX MAJESTIC and UZZIAH look the likely leaders over 1500m in a race where they will look to roll, KINTYRE, KING OF THE CASTLE and XIDAKI can land closer. Happy to be with XIDAKI back to a wet track and he looks suited with 54.5kg on his back, arriving here off a 4 week freshen up. The Snowden trained galloper was good FU in the Silver Eagle behind Ostraka when only beaten 0.5L hitting the line hard from a midfield position, before failing in the Golden Eagle on a firm surface when he was forced off the track on the turn in what looks a run you can pay to forgive. Last preparation he was a winner of the Winx Guineas over 1600m on heavy ground + all his best form comes on wet ground (7:2:3:1). He gets here TU from a spell + 1500m at Rosehill with 54.5kg on his back looks ideal + he can press into a positive map position and he gets his preferred surface. Each way.
Danger: ST LAWRENCE
Next best: UZZIAH + CHRYSAOR
Selections: 7-6-18-4
BET: NO BET
Race 9 ATC CUP 2000m
TOWNSEND looks to get complete control of the race from a good gate, SPIRIT RIDGE and NAVAL COLLEGE can be near pace over 2000m. He just sets up so well here TOWNSEND third up, 2000m, dropping to the 54kg and he looks to get control of the race from the front. The now 4YO gelding returned in good fashion after a year off the scene this preparation over 1600m at Randwick taking the field up and running along, only to be collared the final 100m by Sounds of Heaven beaten 1.7L. Last start he backed that run up with a dominant victory over 1850m at Newcastle leading from the front, rolling along and scoring by 3.4L running right through the line showing late strength carrying 58.5kg. He gets here TU from a spell which looks ideal + steps to 2000m which looks no issue being by Dundeel out of a Dubawi mare + he is proven on wet ground having placed in the group 1 champagne stakes over a mile at Randwick + drops to 54kg + maps to get his own way in front and if he reproduces his last start effort with upside to come into the prep he is clearly the one to beat.

Rail Position: TRUE
Track Condition: GOOD 4
Weather: FINE
Race 1 Tab Highway Class 3 1400m
FLYING IMPALA, ARTHUR THE GREAT, MY MATE KATE and FIROSUM FRED can all land in a forward position. EVERIDO looks hard enough to beat again in a similar highway to what he faced last start where he had no luck from the gate, coursing 3WNC throughout, working his way to a midfield position before peaking on his run over the last 100m before beating all but Villasaurus. Prior to that he came through a 72 grade race at Warwick Farm which produced a subsequent Saturday city winner. He gets here deep into his prep which looks ideal + he has beaten LAMBAY ($6) over 1400m on both occasions when they have met + gets a 3kg swing on that galloper + gets a major barrier switch which allows him to map closer from an inside gate following a rolling speed, and if he has any luck getting out on the corner he is the one to beat, can mark him favourite in this race.
Danger: GENTILESCHI (caught wide FU, up to 1400m, more tempo, fitter – has to run well)

Race 3 BM78 1000m
DUKE OF BRONTE and TRISTATE can flow across over the 1000m in what looks a fast run race. There is just nowhere else to turn apart from PISANELLO who will hold a midfield position from the inside draw and looks hard to beat with any luck off the back of the rolling tempo. The Godolphin trained galloper has been a model of consistency this preparation scoring impressively FU over 1000m at Warwick Farm, before sneaking up the inside SU over 1100m at Flemington in 80 grade carrying 58kg. He peaks here TU from a spell + coming back to 1000m looks OK with the speed up front + he draws to get an economical run on the inside and he only rises 2kg in the weights coming back to 78 grade, on top without wanting to get involved in the race.
Danger: HI DUBAI
Next best: TRISTATE + DUKE OF BRONTE
Selections: 4-7-1-11
BET: NO BET
Race 4 Bm78 1200m
INFATUATION looks the leader, from NINGALOO STAR and HARRYS BAR who can hold leaders back from an inside draw over 1200m. Want to trust the Kensington race to be the right lead up and HARRYS BAR gets a 2kg swing on WOOLOOWIN for a short margin and gets back to her home track which looks an advantage. The Paul Murray trained mare has been a model of consistency throughout her short career placing 3 from her first 4 starts, with her only win a dominant display over 1250m at Canterbury leading all the way. She returned this preparation FU over 1150m at Kensington where she was put into the race near pace and fought on bravely behind WOOLOOWIN with 58.5kg in a race that rated well + Captain Amelia and Drift Net have both come out since and run well. She gets here with added fitness SU from a spell + brings a competitive figure into this race + maps to get the run of the race and the step to 1200m on her home track looks ideal. From the gate, expect her to settle in behind the rolling leader and she will look the winner for a long way.
Danger: WOOLOOWIN

Race 6 BM78 1400m
IMINTOWIN, SILENT IMPACT, PUTT FOR DOUGH and SNAPBACK all have natural speed to roll along in what looks a rolling tempo, BLAZING HARRY and MIDNIGHT OPAL can tuck in behind those midfields. MIDNIGHT OPAL did enough last start to suggest he is on track this preparation and ready to put in a peak performance for this preparation. The Nathan Doyle trained galloper was well supported last start when staying at 1200m SU from a spell at Rosehill, finishing 3rd behind Fire Star when only beaten 1.2L. He was able to take up a midfield position in the run, before just becoming crowded for room at a vital stage on a track which doesn’t overly suit him on type (lacks power for Rosehill turn). He gets here with added fitness TU from a spell + the step to 1400m looks ideal + the softer surface looks to suit him and he maps to get the right run again midfield in the 2W line. He brings a superior peak figure at the weights to his rivals and has the profile to elevate and run a big race at each way odds.
Danger: BLAZING HARRY
Next best: IMINTOWIN + ALLAPERCANTO

BET: Like 10 each way, cover 13
Race 7 BM88 1600m
LUVOIR looks the likely leader crossing from wide out, ROCK EMPIRE can hold a position from a low draw with UNIQUE AMBITION. ROCK EMPIRE sets up well with the 55kg on his back, stepping back up to a mile and mapping to get the run of the race on speed. The Waterhouse/Bott trained galloper did enough last start when dropping back to 1400m, 6 weeks between runs and asked to carry the full 60kg finishing 4th behind Need Some Luck after just becoming unbalanced and outsprinted when turning for home. He gets here deep into the prep now + has to platform to step back up to a mile where he was a winner with 61kg the start prior and he drops 5kg to the 55kg where he won’t know himself. From the inside gate, expect to see him push forward and get into a controlling position leading or following LUVOIR + the dry track suits him and Tim Clark looks a bonus, hard to beat and can see him starting favourite.
Danger: ESTADIO MESTELLA
Next best: CHICA MOJITO + UNIQUE AMBITION
Selections: 15-2-14-16
BET: Like 15 ew
Race 8 The Gong 1600m
GRIFF looks the likely leader, GRINGOTTS can slide across from the wide barrier, BERKSHIRE SHADOW and STEPARTY can flop behind those from good gates in a race that lacks genuine tempo. The slow tempo won’t worry LEKVARTE and although she will need some luck upon straightening she has a turn of speed that most don’t have here which she can use effectively. The Joe Pride trained galloper has returned in good fashion this preparation hitting the line well FU at Rosehill over an unsuitable 1400m behind Makarena who has since franked that form, before sprinting over the top of her rivals SU to win the Angst over 1600m with that race producing 4 subsequent winners since. Last start she was good at Group 1 level behind Atishu and Amelia’s Jewel when only beaten 2.7L. She peaks here 4th up from a spell + is thrown in with 56kf on her back + she relishes a mile + the track will be dry by this stage of the day and if she can hold a position from a midfield gate and build momentum, she is the one they all need to beat, top pick.

THE NOVELIST and RAIOKOKE look the likely leaders in a race that lacks natural pressure. STARMAN did enough FU over 1200m at Rosehill, settling back in the ruck and hitting the line well behind Fire Star to finish 5th beaten 1.5L. Last preparation he was a model of consistency in 78 grade, carrying big weights in Saturday class settling off the pace and hitting the line well. He gets here with added fitness SU from a spell + fits in well at the weights with 55kg after the 3kg claim for Ben Osmond + maps to get the right run midfield with good tempo up front and if he can reproduce anywhere near his best at the weight scale he is in the finish, can mark him shorter than $9.

Race 1 Max Lees Classic 900m
BUFFALO and GOBI DESERT look the likely leaders over 900m from inside draws, A BAR IN PARIS showed good speed in her trial and can take a near pace positon in behind those. Tricky start for the 2YO’s but A BAR IN PARIS trialled well enough to figure in the finish on debut. The Rubick filly has only had the solo 850m trial in readiness for her debut behind stablemate O ‘Ole who subsequently ran well in the Golden Gift which looks the benchmark 2YO form line so far this season in Sydney. She is drawn well over the 900m + has shown good gate speed to make her own luck on speed and in a race, that lacks natural depth from the trials she is the one to beat, expect the market to rally late.

Race 2 Midway Bm72 1600m
MAGNATEAR and DREAMDEEL can take ownership of this race over 1600m, HARLOW MIST takes the box seat with MAGICON sliding forward looking for the 1/1. Tricky race, but there is a good case to say HARLOW MIST should have won the Four Pillars Midway last start if she stayed inside turning for home, when only beaten 1.04L into 5th behind Kingston Charm and PIRAEUS who she meets 1kg better off at the weights. She peaks here TU from a spell + gets to a mile which looks ideal + they retain Nash Rawiller + she draws to get the run of the race in the box seat behind a rolling leader and she brings the best credentials into a race like this with her best form better than most here (2nd Group 2 Wakeful/ 0.32L off City of Lights). The gamble is the wet conditions, but with an economical run and a repeat of her last start effort she is in the finish.

HIGH DANDY and CAPTAIN FURAI look the likely leaders over 1600m in what looks a tactical race on paper. He gets his chance BULLETS HIGH to record a Saturday Metropolitan victory after two good runs this time in, scoring FU at Warwick Farm over 1400m defeating Edited By who has since gone on to win again, before hitting the line well last start against the tempo at Rosehill over 1500m settling back in the field before only going down 0.3L behind Battleton. He peaks here TU from a spell + steps to a mile on a big track which looks suitable + they retain Nash Rawiller which looks ideal and he brings the best last start rating into this race which he can build on here. From the gate, expect to see him park up midfield and with uninterrupted running from the half mile home, he is better than these, on an upward spiral and can continue to go through his classes at this time of year.
Danger: HIGH DANDY
Next best: FOR VICTORY + GUNDY BRIDGE
Selections: 4-2-5-7

Race 5 BM78 1400m
WATCH MY GIRL can slide forward with POWERFUL PEG from an inside draw, DESERT VOICE and PIPPIE BEACH can take up forward roles in behind those from safe map positions. If we are working with a drying surface by this stage of the day WATCH MY GIRL can take ownership of this race and she comes back to 78 grade after coming through the Angst Stakes over 1600m which has proven to be a good form reference producing two subsequent winners since (Hinged, Sounds of Heaven) as well as the form stacking up in the Empire Rose (Lekvarte), and 78 grade (Chica Mojito). Prior to that she was a a strong winner on dry ground over 1300m and 1600m at Warwick farm defeating fav’ PIPPIE BEACH (weak late) by a comfortable margin. She gets here deep into her preparation 4th up + comes back to 1400m which looks ideal + maps to find a controlling position near pace and she has proven Newcastle form. From the gate, expect to see her land near pace and if she holds her current form and the ground is quick enough for her she is the one to beat, can mark her clear favourite on a dry track.

TITANIUM MISS and THE THREE HUNDRED look the likely leaders at a mile flowing across from their wide gates, ECLAIR ENCORE and, DAME COMMANDER can race closer from their inside draws at 1600m in what looks a rolling tempo. This is a better race shape for DAME COMMANDER and she can put herself into a winning position from a good draw and there was good merit in her run last start in the Callander Presnell over a mile in a race where the tempo slackened up front which turned the race into a dash home. The daughter of So you Think was ridden quiet from the wide draw before getting to the middle of the track and hitting the line well to finish 6th only beaten 3.4L where she was just as good as fav ALTHOFF ($4). Prior to that she was able to make her own tempo at Kembla Grange where she was a big winner. She gets here with the mile platform under her belt + they find Rachel King + she gets a completely different race shape and maps to get the run of the race, over the odds.

BET: Like 9, chop out on 8 and 4.
Race 8 The Hunter 1300m
FELIX MAJESTIC looks the likely leader, COAL CRUSHER can tag him, PHEARSON will look to hold a position from the inside barrier sucking up the inside. Although the barrier looks sticky on paper, there is enough speed up front for FAR TOO EASY to make his presence felt in this years Hunter and he returned to his best form in stunning fashion Second-up in the Kosciuszko over 1200m settling in behind Front Page over 1200m before scoring by 2.16L in a time of 1.08.83 which stacked up relative to the Everest on the same day + the form out of the race has been good with Front Page running well since and Gallant Star scoring an emphatic victory in the Barn Dance. He peaks here TU from a spell + gets here with a month between runs + the step up to 1300m looks ideal and he finds a track with some edge off and speed up front. Expect to see him let the speed go up front, take the back of favourite BRIASA in the run and with an uninterrupted run he is in the finish, can mark him shorter than BRIASA in current markets.

UZZIAH can own this race from the front, HIGHLIGHTS fresh can press forward and take a near pace position in a race that lacks tempo. UZZIAH gets his chance with 52kg on his back after the claim for Molly Bourke, and this looks a race where he can take ownership in front, run along and prove hard to run down. The Asprey trained galloper was a big winner FU this time in over 1200m at Randwick in 78 grade running good time from the front scoring by 3L, before coming back to 1100m last start, 7 weeke between runs and just blowing out the final 150m finishing 3rd behind Tristate. He gets here 3rd up from a spell + they get in with 52kg beating the handicapper + he maps to get his own way in front + at his home track. CHESTERAY, HIT SONG, KING OF SPADES and SALUTE AGAIN can all land near pace over 1400m. EVERIDO sets up well coming back to highway class over 1400m and he was very good last start in midweek metropolitan grade settling midfield and running on well behind Spanish Fox beaten 1.1L. Prior to that he was unlucky in highway class when never getting clear behind Maranero, prior to getting too far back over 1400m behind Awaygoesthebunny when forced to make a long run before knocking up. He gets here deep into prep where he continues to parade well + they find Regan Bayliss + he gets in well at the weights + maps to land midfield and with any luck in the run and some cover turning for home he is the horse they all need to beat bringing midweek form + best recent rating which wins this at the weights.

AFRICAN DAISY looks the lone leader, ASGARDA and POWERFUL PEG can stride forward and look for near pace positions from low draws. Tricky race, GENTLY ROLLED did enough FU over an unsuitable 1100m behind Pharari in a race that produced fast late sectionals relative to the day making it hard for those in tricky backward of midfield positions to make significant ground. Last preparation she was a winner SU from a spell over 1300m, before only being beaten under 5L in a group race at the end of her prepatation. She gets here SU from a spell + rises to 1300m which looks ideal + she maps to land in a more forward role and on a dry Rosehill in a race that lacks obvious tempo she can run well at double figure odds.

I AM THE EMPIRE and AMBASSADORIAL look the likely leaders over 2000m, LAUDING and FAYS ANGELS can take positions near pace from low draws. Hard race to line up the midweek form lines converging into a 78-grade race, but FAYS ANGELS brings different Saturday grade form and she is drawn to get the run of the race behind fav AMBASSADORIAL from a good gate. The Karen Owen trained galloper has been a model of consistency in her past three runs when only beaten 2.1L behind Firestorm in 88 grade over 1900m three starts ago when checked and blocked up the running, before hitting the line well behind Medastsu two back when only beaten 0.6L. She was game last start in the Taree Cup when tasked with 59.5kg on her back, running 2nd behind Peshmerga. She gets here deep into her prep where she continues to race well + the 3kg claim for Maddy Owen gets her in with 54.5kg + she maps for the run of the race and on a dry Rosehill following a Waterhouse leader, she can’t do anything but run well.

COAL CRUSHER, I AM ME, and MAZU can all push forward into a near pace position over 1300m in what looks a fast run race on paper. Nothing went right in the Everest for SUNSHINE IN PARIS, striking a soft track which she doesn’t overly appreciate + the tempo didn’t suit her and she found herself in a tricky spot, so it is fair to say she should have finished closer to the winner BELLA NIPOTINA who albeit was 3WNC on speed, found herself in a winnable position on the turn. The Neasham trained galloper returned with a bang this preparation winning the Sheraco stakes over 1200m at Rosehill in good time, quickening past her rivals from the rear in fast time. She gets here TU from a spell which looks ideal + steps to 1300m which she is looking for and she comes back to her sweet spot at Rosehill where she is unbeaten and gets a switch to a dry track where her peak figures have come. She brings an SP advantage over fav BELLA NIPOTINA from the Everest and Tj Smith ($6.50/$6.50 vs $9/$11) + from the middle gate, expect to see her take a sit midfield and with a cart into the race she can sprint past her rivals.

KINTYRE, GRIFF, OSTRAKA and LAZZAT can all race forward over 1500m in what looks a rolling tempo over the 1500m. ASCOLI PACINO is a a deserved favourite and the gamble is the barrier which looks OK for her blending into the 3W line WC and there is no hiding that she brings proper form into a race like this. The Kuroiwa trained mare was able to win the Hanshin Juvenile fillies classic over 1600m in December at Group 1 level, defeating Stellenbosch (JPN) who has subsequently gone on to win the Japanese 1000 Guineas and the Oka Sho to frank that form line. Last start she was a dominant winner over 1600m putting a gap in her rivals in the Keisei Hai Autu at Group 3 level; running good time on a fast track after sitting in a similar spot she maps to find herself in on Saturday . She gets here with residual fitness only eight weeks between runs + they find Moreira + 1500m on dry suits and if she has any luck from the draw she is the they all need to hold out, world class mare. LAZZAT is the clear danger and he brings a tactical advantage over ASCOLI PACINO and his recent Group 1 win in the De Cheest over 1300m racing away by 3L after sitting OSL looks the ideal lead up, with the 2nd horse running well in the Prix De La Foret since. The unbeaten galloper from the Reynier barn brings over a competitive rating relative to favourite ASCOLI PACINO, but maps to get an economical run either OSL or tucking in behind the speed and gets an ideal set up over 1500m on a dry track. He gets here unbeaten + Antonio Orani knows him + he is well suited with 56.5kg on his back and can’t do anything but run well.
Next best: ENCAP + SOUTHPORT TYCOON (best of the local chances)

Race 9 Rosehill Gold Cup 2000m
BEAR ON THE LOOSE can cross over and lead from HINGED who can take a trail from an inside gate pushing forward this time at 2000m. Late market and yard looks the only guide to a race like this with so many unknowns in the race, and one of those unknowns is SAGANTI who appears FU from the Price yard and the lightly raced 3YO has the right profile to be effective in a race like this fresh up over 2000m. Last preparation he was competitive when deep ended at group level striign wet ground where he wasn’t at his best, with his best performance coming on a firm track at Chantilly over 2400m when only beaten 2L with 58kg. He gets here FU from a spell and albeit he has to give weight and looks poorly handicapped, he finds a dry track + can find a spot near pace from a wide draw in a race that lacks speed and he possesses a turn of speed which looks ideal off this tempo. Top pick but a hard race to bet into.

Race 10 BM78 1500m
POPPIN CHAMPAGNE looks the likely leader, MOUNTAIN TOP and CAPTAIN FURAI can both land near pace from their good draws. BATTLETON finds a winnable race and despite the big weight, he maps to get every chance to break back into the winners circle for the Baker stable. The now 6YO gelding has been a model of consistency this preparation when having four starts over 1200m hitting the line well in BM88 and BM94 grade behind Ostraka and Moravia when only beaten 2.95L and 2.57L. Last start he was improved when stepping to 1400m hitting the line well behind Willaidow, beaten 0.3L. He continues to race well deep into his preparation + they find Jason Collett from a good gate + 1500m looks ideal and he comes back to 78 grade where he looks well suited on dry ground, top pick but the market has not missed him.
