Expressions of Interest are now open for Head Coach positions within the Sutherland Sharks 2027 Senior Waratah Representative Program.

We welcome applications from both returning Sharks coaches and those interested in joining our representative program for the first time.

Our Sharks Basketball Holiday Camps are back for the next school holidays, with 𝟭-𝗱𝗮𝘆 and 𝟮-𝗱𝗮𝘆 camp options available for players aged 𝟱–𝟭𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

All camps are run in a fun, safe and engaging environment, with a focus on 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 and plenty of basketball.

Participants will be split into two age groups on the day:

We're looking for passionate, knowledgeable and committed coaches who are dedicated to developing athletes in a high-performance environment, both on and off the court.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:
• A strong commitment to athlete development
• Technical and tactical basketball knowledge
• Leadership and effective communication skills
• A willingness to continue learning and developing as a coach
• The ability to work collaboratively within the Sutherland Sharks program
• Relevant coaching experience and qualifications

Applicants must be registered members of both SDBA and BNSW and support the association's development philosophies and policies.

Applications will be assessed by an independent, non-conflicted selection panel, with interviews conducted where required.

Open Trials are for athletes who did 𝗻𝗼𝘁 represent the Sharks in 2026, and will commence in Week 1.

All trials for 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀, including Sharks Development Players, will begin from Week 2 onwards.

Unless directed otherwise, all trials will be held at 𝗦𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 – 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸.
