🏋🏼‍♀️ Sutherland Leisure Centre Upgrades - Gym and Outdoor Amenities Staged Works

We're excited to let our community know that works are now complete on our outdoor amenities, weights room and stretching areas.

These areas are refreshed and ready to welcome you back from tomorrow, Saturday 29 August.

Works on our outdoor pools remain on track, and we’ll keep you updated as they progress.

🚧 Sutherland Leisure Centre Upgrades

Exciting progress has been made, and we can't wait to show you what we've been working on very soon.

A crane will be onsite on Wednesday 26 August, temporarily impacting some accessible parking spaces. Alternate accessible parking will be clearly marked, so please follow signage onsite.

Meet Maureen 👋🏽

One of the friendly faces at Menai Indoor Sports Centre and, casually, a five-time World Sprint Championship outrigger canoe competitor!

From Menai to Hawaii, Tahiti, and now Singapore, Maureen continues her incredible journey, racing V12 with Koa Kai as she takes on the world stage once again. 🌏

Good luck, Maureen. We're proud to have you on our team and will be cheering you on every step of the way! 👏🏽

Our lifeguards are there to help keep everyone safe in and around the water. For little swimmers, the safety starts with an actively supervising parent or carer.

🏋🏼‍♀️ Sutherland Leisure Centre Upgrades - Gym and Outdoor Amenities Staged Works

The next stage of our roof works will begin on Monday 17 August, with works taking place above the weights room and stretching areas.

From Monday 17 to Friday 28 August 2026, the weights room and stretching areas will be temporarily closed.

During this time, we welcome you to continue your training with:
• The cardio room at Sutherland Leisure Centre remaining open
• The circuit room at Sutherland Leisure Centre available during select periods - details to be published on our website next week
• Gym facilities available at Engadine Leisure Centre
