The way you use your arms when you walk can either promote expansion or collapse. The choice is yours.
Try these simple cues:
• Pull your chin in
• Lift your head from the back of your skull
• Breathe deeply
• Gently pull your elbows back
• Walk with grace
Small adjustments can create a more lifted, open, and intentional way of moving.

The LEG LIFT using the 3-STEP. Without any doubt is easily one of the best balance improving exercises there is. No matter what your age or physical fitness, if you can walk you can balance and benefit.
Walking really slowly, as you pull one elbow back, breathe IN and lift the same side knee up.
As you take your next step, breath IN, pull the opposite elbow back and lift the opposite knee up.
As you breathe OUT, pull your opposite elbow back, lift the same side knee and STOP, feel the foot you’re standing on and hold your balance for as long as you can or want.
When you’re ready, pull the opposite elbow back, breath IN and repeat the process.
Focus on keeping your arms parallel (don’t let your arms cross over your body).
Pull the knee lift up from the outside. Try and stop the knee from being pulled up from the middle.
A small reminder that pacing yourself starts with your breath! Progress doesn’t have to be fast. It just has to keep moving.
