CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AUGUST REFEREE OF THE MONTH!

Grace continues to impress with her fantastic attitude and work ethic. Her ability to take on feedback, implement it into her refereeing and continually look for ways to improve has been outstanding.

She is always willing to put the team first, regularly stepping up to help when needed and picking up extra games to support her fellow officials and the wider referee program.

As a young referee with a great approach to her development, Grace has a very bright future ahead of her!

SHOOTING CLINIC

Putting an emphasis on proper form and technique in game like situations, the SBA’s Shooting Camp will prepare any athlete to consistently knock down shots at any level. Designed for athletes who have current playing experience – either Domestic or Representative, the Shooting Clinic will explore decision making and shot preparation in contested shooting situations.

VJBL FINALS RESULTS - WEEK 2

A massive congratulations to all of our teams who have progressed to the next stage of the VJBL Finals, with some progressing through to the Grand Final.

After a loss some teams still remain with a double chance. For those teams whose finals campaign has come to an end, thank you for an incredible season.

Our Mini Jet MVP Elsa, and our Aussie Hooper of the month, Brileigh! 💙

Coach Alex says, Elsa was chosen because she has just started Mini Jets this term and she has improved rapidly over the last month. She has shown great ability in her shooting and ball handling and is always eager to continue improving.

And Brileigh has shown a massive improvement, not only in the last month but from when she started last year and is getting more and more confident in her ability as the sessions go on.

BEGINNERS CAMP

For your young baller looking to try basketball for the first time and learn basic and fundamental skills. The SBA’s Beginner Camp / Aussie Hoops Clinic is jam packed with fun and engaging games, giving an insight to our Aussie Hoops program.

All participants must bring a water bottle and basketball.

Our domestic teams are open to all skill levels and ages, with no tryouts required. We have a range of clubs under our association that are always looking to add new players to their rosters.
