🔥 NRLW DEBUT — SERIAH PALEPALE 🔥

This one means a little more. ❤️

Seriah was meant to make her NRLW debut in Round 1. Then came the news nobody wanted — an injury far more serious than first thought, forcing her to wait.

But she kept working. Kept believing. And now… WE’RE FINALLY HERE.

A couple of years ago, Seriah and her entire family packed up their lives in Auckland and moved to Australia to give their daughter every opportunity to chase her dream.

That takes sacrifice. That takes belief. That takes FAMILY. FAITH. AND YOU.

Today, that sacrifice becomes something very special.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Seriah. Your journey is only beginning.

Go enjoy your moment. You’ve earned it. ❤️🤍

⚡️ WELCOME TO EXCEL SPORTS — RUBY WALKER ⚡️

We are incredibly excited to welcome 15-year-old Ruby Walker to the EXCEL Sports family.

Every now and then, a young athlete makes you look a little deeper.

Ruby is one of those athletes.

Coming from an outstanding Touch and Oztag background, Ruby already possesses many of the attributes we look for in a potential elite-level half — speed, agility, vision, competitiveness, leadership and work ethic.

And at only 15, her résumé speaks for itself.

Ruby spent eight years with Bosco Bulldogs and now plays rugby league with Cronulla Caringbah.

In 2026, she was selected in the NSWCHS Presidents team a year young — and named CAPTAIN. She has also spent three years in the Cronulla Sharks Winter Academy.

Her achievements include:

🏆 5× Touch State Cup Gold Medals
🏉 U20 Senior State Cup runner-up at just 14
🔥 Women’s Division 1 Vawdon Cup selection at 15
⭐ 2026 NSWCHS U15 Touch selection
©️ Oztag State & National team captain for 7 years
🔵 NSW Oztag selection
🏫 Endeavour Sports High TSP Rugby League athlete
🥈 Flag Football Nationals runner-up
🏆 NSW School Touch State Champion

But the medals aren’t what excite us most.

It’s the athlete and person behind them.

Ruby trains with purpose, competes hard, encourages those around her and has repeatedly earned leadership roles through the way she carries herself.

She also has a strong family behind her who understand the rugby league pathway, the sacrifices required and the journey ahead.

At EXCEL Sports, we don’t take predictions about 15-year-old athletes lightly.

But we’ll say this:

We genuinely believe Ruby Walker has the attributes to become not only an NRLW player — but potentially a future star of the game.

Nothing is guaranteed. There is plenty of work ahead.

But the pathway is already taking shape.

For now, that’s where we’ll leave it. 👀⚡️

Welcome to the family, Ruby.

EXCEL WITH US.

The Hidden Statistics That Win NRLW Contracts 16/08/2026

🚨 NEW BLOG LIVE

THE HIDDEN STATISTICS THAT WIN NRLW CONTRACTS: WHAT RECRUITERS REALLY LOOK FOR

Most players and parents naturally focus on the obvious statistics.

Tries.
Line breaks.
Run metres.
Player of the Match.
Highlight reels.

They matter.

But they don’t tell the whole story.

Experienced recruiters are often watching the things most people aren’t.

Your effort off the ball.
Your defensive work.
Your urgency around the ruck.
Your discipline.
Your consistency.
Your availability.
Your coachability.
Your character.
Your leadership.
Your versatility.

They’re watching what happens after you make a mistake.

They’re watching your body language when you’re tired.

They’re watching whether you stay alive in a play even when you’re only an optional runner and may never receive the ball.

And they’re asking one of the most important questions in recruitment:

Can we trust this player?

Because one great game doesn’t build an NRLW career.

Consistency does.

At EXCEL Sports Management, we’re not interested in developing players purely to earn their first contract.

We want to help develop players capable of building long, sustainable careers.

One line from this article sums it up perfectly:

Talent gets you noticed.
Character gets you trusted.
Consistency gets you re-signed.

And always remember:

The highlight reel might get you noticed.
The hidden statistics build your career.

This is a must-read for players, parents and coaches who want to better understand what really creates value in female rugby league.

💛 Welcome to the EXCEL Sports Family, Kalissa Moon! 💛

From Western Australia comes one of the brightest young prospects we’ve seen in recent years.

Could this young girl become one of the finest female rugby league players to come out of Perth?

We certainly believe she’ll be right up there.

Kalissa’s rugby league journey only began in 2022, after her uncle encouraged her to give the game a try. Before then, she had spent eight years playing netball, balancing both sports before making the decision to fully commit to rugby league.

That decision has already produced some outstanding achievements.

🏉 Represented WA Māori on tour in New Zealand (2024).

🏉 Selected in the Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League (ASSRL) Under 16s in 2025.

🏉 In 2026, became one of only two girls selected from Western Australia in the inaugural affiliated CAS ASSRL Under 18 State Team.

Kalissa combines athleticism, toughness, work ethic and a genuine desire to keep improving. Those qualities are exactly what we look for at EXCEL Sports Management.

We’re excited to walk alongside Kalissa and her family as she continues her journey, helping her maximise every opportunity both on and off the field.

Welcome to the EXCEL family, Kalissa. The future is exciting. 💛

COMING THIS SUNDAY.

Over the past few months, I’ve written a lot about the NRLW pathway.

This is one of the most powerful blogs I’ve personally written.

Not because of the words…

But because of the message.

Every female rugby league player will face moments where confidence is tested.

This article explains where real confidence comes from, why so many players lose it, and how the very best build confidence long before game day.

We’re putting the final touches on it now.

“Confidence Isn’t Given. It’s Earned.”

Dropping this Sunday.

If you’re serious about your rugby league journey, this is one you won’t want to miss.
