We’re officially in full preparation mode! 🏁🔥

This time next week, we’ll be lining up for the 2026 Hammo’s Concreting Australian Dirt Kart Titles!

Held only once every two years, the Australian Titles bring some of the best dirt kart drivers from across the country together for three massive days of racing. We’re incredibly lucky to be part of it, competing in Junior Heavy, and we can’t wait to hit the track and see what the weekend brings.

Follow along over the coming week and throughout race weekend as we share the build-up, behind-the-scenes moments, updates and plenty of racing action!

✨ Weekend Race Wrap‑Up ✨
Another big weekend of racing for us!

Saturday – Mick Bright Memorial (Adelaide Dirt Kart Club)
We started the day a lot slower than we hoped, struggling to find straight‑line speed and not quite sure whether it was the kart, the driver, or a mix of both. It was frustrating early on, but with a few setup tweaks — and a bit of encouragement — things began to turn around.
We finished the day 7th, which we were really happy with considering the tough start and the caliber of drivers on the grid.

Sunday – Wenske 100 Challenge (Blanchetown Dirt Kart Club)
Again, we weren’t quite on the pace early but kept improving throughout the day. The grid was full of Junior Heavies getting their last run in before the Australian Titles, so the pace was hot from the start. Some setup changes gave us plenty of positives to build on, and we wrapped up the event in 6th, feeling good about the direction things are heading.

Sorry, there’s no video this week and only a handful of photos — we had a few technical issues with the camera gear, and Sunday’s 31‑degree heat with hurricane‑level winds didn’t make filming any easier!

Spending the weekend at the Supercars The Bend 500 and got to experience some seriously cool things today! 🏁

A huge thank you to everyone who was willing to take the time to talk to me and show me around the garages. It was such a cool experience getting to see a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes.

With my big sister working in the industry, she tends to have some pretty cool contacts and was able to introduce me to a couple of drivers and crew members today.

A massive thank you to Rossi Johnson (driver of Aussie racing cars, Superute & Super 2) for his time and for giving me an experience I won’t forget. I was lucky enough to spend some time chatting with Rossi, sit in his car, and have him talk me through different parts of the car and how everything works.

Such a cool day, looking forward to what tomorrow brings!

Hi, I’m Marcus! I race dirt karts in the Junior Heavy class here in South Australia. I’ve been racing for about 18 months now — still learning, still improving, and loving every lap. I saved up and bought my first kart with Mum and Dad, and now I’m chasing big dreams one race day at a time.

🏁 A pretty special Father’s Day at Angas Go-Kart Club. 🏁

We spent Father’s Day at the track for the 125 Light & Heavy Trophy Day, trying out a new engine and getting some more valuable seat time.

It was a smaller field than usual, but Marcus put together some really consistent runs, and it was great to see the hard work and hours in the seat starting to show.

✨ Heat 2: 🥈 2nd
✨ Heat 3: 🥇 1st
🏆 Final: 🥇 1st

Finishing the day with 90 points was a pretty special way to wrap up the day. 🙌

Very grateful for the opportunity to be out there, keep learning, and enjoy these days together. There’s still plenty to work on, but we’re happy with the progress and looking forward to the next one. ❤️🏁

Saturday was spent at the Adelaide Dirt Kart Club for the Mini Jam. The weather came good and we got to go racing, tested out a new engine putting in some consistent runs.
