The Sharks are stepping into a new era of women’s football.

From 2027, Stockton Sharks FC will enter the Women’s Zone Football League (WZFL). 🔴🔵

A new level.
A new opportunity.
A new pathway for women and girls at the Sharks.

🏆 THE CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR & JUNIOR CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR 🏆

Yesterday at our Junior Sharks Presentation Day, we celebrated two very special people — Teegan Bishop and Taylor Regan — as our recipients of two of the biggest awards at Stockton Sharks Football Club. ❤️💙

🏆 CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR — TEEGAN BISHOP

There probably aren’t enough words to describe everything Teegan does for the Sharks.

Club Secretary. Canteen Co-Supervisor. Media Co-Coordinator. Registrar. Organiser. Problem solver. The list goes on… and on… and on.

Teegan is one of those people who just gets things done. She gives countless hours to our club, often behind the scenes, to make sure our players, teams, families and volunteers have the best possible experience.

She is the type of person every community club needs — someone who cares deeply about the Sharks and is always willing to put their hand up.

🏆 JUNIOR CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR — TAYLOR REGAN

And then there’s Taylor. 💙

What a young woman she is — and we are incredibly proud to call her a Shark.

Not only is Taylor a gun player, but this year she stepped up to coach a MiniRoos team, became a Game Leader, and is always one of the first to put her hand up when someone needs a hand.

She leads by example, gives back to the younger players and shows exactly what being part of the Sharks community is all about.

❤️💙 THIS IS WHAT THE SHARKS IS BUILT ON.

It’s not just about what happens on the pitch.

It’s about the people who give their time.
The people who help others.
The people who step up.
The people who create opportunities for the next generation.
The people who make our club a community.

Teegan and Taylor represent that perfectly.

With new owners recently coming on board, they were quick to jump in and support our club — and we really appreciate it. 🙌

🦈 A NEW PATHWAY IS COMING TO THE SHARKS

We’re excited to announce that Stockton Sharks FC is putting its hand up to be part of the brand-new Zone League Youth (ZLY) competition in 2027. 🔵🔴

Newcastle Football is developing ZLY as a proposed A Grade youth competition for players aged 10–16, providing a new level of competition and development within community football.

The proposed structure includes:

⚽ U10 & U11 – Inter-District MiniRoos
⚽ U12 – Modified Competition
⚽ U13–U16 – Full Field

There will be Boys ZLY and Girls ZLY competitions, with boys teams able to be mixed where required to support participation and team numbers.

For the Sharks, this is about creating more opportunities for our young players to develop, challenge themselves and continue their football journey within our club.

🦈 STARTING THE PATHWAY EARLY

We’re also looking to trial an U9 Development Squad in 2027.

While U9s won’t participate in ZLY, the Development Squad will give players an opportunity to train, develop and play together, helping prepare them for a potential U10 ZLY team in 2028.

👉 U9 players can also register their interest through our EOI.

The competition structure is still being developed, but we’re excited to be part of the conversation and explore what this could mean for the future of youth football at Shark Park.

🦈 WHAT A DAY, SHARKS! ❤️💙

What a brilliant way to wrap up another huge season of Junior Sharks football!

Yesterday was all about celebrating our players, our teams and the incredible community that makes Stockton Sharks what it is. And what a sight it was seeing Sharks everywhere! 🦈

From our MiniRoos Sharks taking their first steps in the game, through to our Competition Sharks, plus the countless Sharks parents, coaches, managers, volunteers, siblings and supporters who make it all happen.

It was a glorious day at Stockton Bowling Club, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to bring our ever-growing Sharks crew together. ☀️💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, helped out, celebrated, clapped, cheered and made the day so special.

And a massive thank you to our friends at The Bowlo Stockton for once again accommodating our ever-growing Sharks family. We know the numbers keep getting bigger, and we’re incredibly grateful for the way you continue to welcome our club. ❤️

Our friends at Stockton Cricket Club have an invitation for our Sharkettes! ❤️💙

With the football season coming to an end, why not keep the girls active, connected and playing sport with their friends this summer?

🏏 Stockton Women’s Cricket Team are inviting our junior Sharks girls to come along and give cricket a try!

It’s a great opportunity to stay together with their football mates, learn some new skills and enjoy being part of a team during the summer months.

👧 Girls aged 14–16 can play with the senior or junior women’s teams, providing an opportunity to experience senior cricket in a welcoming and supportive environment.

🏏 Younger girls can also get involved through Stockton Cricket Club’s junior teams, with options suited to their age and experience.

And you don’t need to be a cricketer to give it a go! Whether they’ve never picked up a bat or they’re already handy with a ball, the team would love to welcome the girls along. 🙌

It’s a great opportunity for our two Stockton sporting clubs to work together and keep our young players active, connected and involved in sport all year round. 💙❤️
