Chilliest row for the year. -3.5 in Stanthorpe this morning but there were no pikers 🥶💪! Great effort despite frozen fingers and numb toes (wade in entry for our crews). Frost, fog and even one post-row swimmer 🏊‍♀️😱.

SKBC Seeking Support

For the month of July, SKBC is running raffles at the Stanthorpe RSL on a Wednesday night. Your presence would make a big difference. Heaps of raffles to win and, of course, the weekly members’ draw after.

Gather your friends, family and work colleagues for a Wednesday catchup and support your local rowing club along the way.

Every Wednesday in July Approx. 6.30 - 7.30pm.

SKBC thanks Southern Downs Regional Council for removing the dead branch overhanging our concourse at the boat shed. They also dealt with a few others as well.

We also appreciate the installation of the ‘Boat Club’ signs at the entrance to the dam, one at the turn-off on Eukey Rd and one at the T-intersection on the access road.

First outing in the 8 for while at SKBC. Amazing how a big boat hardens the resolve to get out there at 1 degree.

Over the weekend SKBC hosted another highly successful small boats camp, this time with members of Brisbane Rowing Club.
Rowers got to work on their skills in sculls, doubles and pairs and for many it was their first time in boats that would normally be challenging on the Brisbane River. The glorious weather also ensured everyone was happy with any unintentional swimming!
A huge thank you to all of our members who volunteered their time helping out.
