The Y Stanthorpe is looking for a friendly, energetic and community minded person to join our team as a Customer Service Officer.

This is more than just working on reception. You will be one of the first people our members and families see, helping create a welcoming experience every time they visit.

We are looking for someone who:

* Loves talking to people and making them feel welcome
* Delivers genuine, friendly and professional customer service
* Is confident answering enquiries, taking bookings and helping customers find the right program or service
* Takes ownership and follows things through
* Can stay organised while juggling a busy reception environment
* Enjoys being part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace
* Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
* Wants to make a difference in their local community

You do not need to know everything about fitness or recreation on day one. What matters most is your attitude, communication skills, reliability and passion for helping people.

Meet Kylie – Our New Centre Manager at The Y Stanthorpe!
We’re excited to introduce Kylie Stewart as the new Centre Manager of The Y Stanthorpe Fitness, Recreation & Aquatic Centre!
Kylie has called Stanthorpe home for more than 20 years, raising her four children here and developing a genuine love for the local community.
“What I love most about working at The Y is the incredible diversity of people I get to meet every day—from seven-month-old babies in our programs to our inspiring 90-year-old gym members, and absolutely everyone in between.
The most rewarding part is helping people achieve things they never thought possible and watching their self-belief grow. It’s the genuine relationships we build here that make our community so special.”
Kylie is looking forward to leading the team and continuing to make The Y a welcoming, inclusive and connected place for everyone in our community.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Lily for everything she has contributed during her time as Centre Manager. Lily will be moving back into a Customer Service Officer role, so thankfully she’ll remain a familiar face around the centre! We really appreciate the commitment and care she has shown to our members, staff and community during her time as Manager.

To help us get everything ship-shape and ready for the upcoming pool season, the centre will be closed Saturdays until pool season begins (resuming 3rd October 2026.) Please note all group fitness classes will be postponed during this time (24/7 gym access available only).

It’s not just about getting the centre ready behind the scenes — it’s also a chance to give our staff and group fitness instructors a well-deserved Saturday break after all their hard work! 💙🙌

We’ll be using the extra time to get everything ready for a fantastic pool season ahead. 🌴☀️🏊‍♂️
