Transform your body and mind with the ancient practice of Tai Chi.

I love this analogy 🙏

☯️ The ground may be one of your biggest allies.

With proper body alignment and structure, you can align and direct an opponent’s force into the earth. Using the ground is like having an elephant as your ally.

I’ve always loved the image of having an elephant as your ally. In Tai Chi, good structure and alignment allow us to connect with the ground rather than relying on muscular strength alone.

It’s one of those principles that becomes clearer through practice. The more we work on posture, relaxation, and rooting, the more we begin to understand how the whole body can work together.

Without proper alignment and structure, we miss out on many of the benefits of Tai Chi.

💬 When you are practicing your form, are you following Tai Chi principles?

So glad to be part of Dr Lam’s amazing group 🙏

“Human relationships are among the most important foundations of happiness and health.”

Every morning, even if I can only squeeze in 15 minutes before work. Such a lovely habit.

💚 Motivation may get us started. Discipline keeps us going.

🧘 “You won’t always be motivated. You have to learn to be disciplined.”

There are days when practicing Tai Chi comes easily, and days when we would rather do something else. I’ve learned that those are often the days when simply showing up matters most.

Daily practice doesn’t require perfection or even a long session. It requires the discipline to begin. A few mindful minutes today may not seem like much, but over a lifetime, those small efforts can become something extraordinary.

💬 Do our daily motivational posts help you to continue practicing?

My balance has improved incredibly since I started Tai Chi 🙏

💚 Strength, serenity, and control begin with balance.

“The body should be triangular, the mind circular. The triangle represents the generation of energy and is the most stable physical posture. The circle symbolizes serenity and perfection, the source of unlimited techniques. The square stands for solidity, the basis of applied control.”
— Morihei Ueshiba

Although this quote is from the perspective of Aikido, I see so much Tai Chi in these words. Structure gives us stability, relaxation allows energy to flow, and a calm mind helps us choose how we react.

These are things we can spend a lifetime exploring. With daily practice, we begin to understand them not just with our minds, but through our bodies.

💬 Which martial arts have you practiced besides Tai Chi, and has Tai Chi helped improve your practice of other martial arts?

Sure feels good

💚 When you know, you know.

Sometimes we get that feeling. It may not stay with us, but we know when we’ve felt it.

When you feel it, there can be a sense of vibrancy—a feeling of connection and oneness with the universe.

The feeling may come and go. But once you’ve experienced it, you know it’s there.

Even when you can’t seem to find that feeling again, you remember it. And perhaps that’s part of what keeps us practicing—and searching for it again.

💬 Have you ever felt it?

The storms keep coming, how I react has really changed 🙏

⛈️ Life's storms are inevitable. How we navigate them is our choice.

🧘 "I am not afraid of life's storms, for I am learning to sail my ship."

Tai Chi doesn't stop life's storms from coming. Challenges, setbacks, and uncertainty are all part of the journey.

What Tai Chi can do is help us respond to stress with greater calm and confidence.

With each practice, we learn to breathe instead of panic, stay balanced instead of reacting, and face life's rough waters with a steadier mind. Over time, we discover that true strength isn't found in avoiding the storm—it's found in how we move through it.

Every day we practice is another lesson in learning to steer our own ship.

💬 By practicing your Tai Chi daily, you're preparing for life's storms. Let's encourage each other to stay on course. If you practiced today, well done! If you haven't practiced yet, there's still time. You've got this.

So powerful 🙏

What is a Tai Chi body? 💪🏼

Like bamboo,
we learn to bend
with the winds of life,
always returning to balance.

Rooted, yet flexible.
Strong, yet relaxed.
Moving, without force.

This is the essence of a Tai Chi body 🎋
