✨ Welcoming Jo to our teaching team ✨
A beautiful friend guided Jo to her first yoga class in the early 2000s, when she was deeply in need of space, balance and rest after the intensity of becoming a first-time mum. Jo immediately fell in love with the practice. With a background in gymnastics, she enjoyed the physicality of yoga, but it was the peace, stillness and sense of being deeply nurtured that truly drew her in.
Experiencing the magic of the practice sparked a desire to know more, leading Jo to her first teacher training in 2006. From there, her teaching journey unfolded as a natural progression from her first incarnation as a physiotherapist.
Jo has been teaching and continuing to study since 2007, completing her 500-hour teacher training with Yoga Arts in Bali in 2013. She is registered as a Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia and is also an Experienced Yoga Teacher (ERYT500) and Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance.
Jo has been blessed to study with many amazing teachers from around the world and remains a passionate, lifelong student of yoga.
Her classes are dynamic and creative. Through mindful movement and the flow of breath, Jo encourages students to question “what I know for sure,” let go of expectations, open to possibility, and find presence and joy in the moment.
Jo looks forward to sharing the incredible gift and journey of yoga with you.

🌿 Meet Susan - our newest teacher on the regular timetable 🌿
You may have already met Susan over the past few months as she’s lovingly covered classes in the studio… and now we are thrilled to welcome her to our official weekly schedule starting Thursday 27/11.
Beginning next week, you can join Susan for:
✨ 7:30am Vinyasa
✨ 9:30am Mindful Essentials - a beautiful new class style on our timetable, blending mindful movement, stability, strength, alignment and breath awareness.
A little about Susan…
Susan began practising yoga as a child in Scotland with her dad, an avid Hatha yogi.
She returned to the practice 18 years ago while working in the fast-paced world of fashion in Melbourne, seeking balance and grounding. What she found was a feeling of coming home - a space to soften into herself, build strength, and reconnect.
Since then, her curiosity and commitment have led her through more than 1,000 hours of training.
She’s deeply inspired by the transformation yoga creates - not only within the body, but in the mind and in one’s whole way of being. Susan loves witnessing this transformation in her students.
Her classes are welcoming to all, guided by mindful movement, breath-led awareness, curiosity, strength, softness, and a steady return to inner calm.
We are so grateful to have Susan as part of our teaching team.
✨ Come and welcome her next Thursday. 🌿

🌿 Amy Sartorel Naturopathy and Mindful Garden present the second installment of our Naturopathic Series - Weight Loss 🌿
📅 Sunday 21st September
🕒 3:00 – 4:00pm

In today’s world, managing weight involves far more than just diet and exercise. Biological and hormonal factors like metabolism, thyroid function, insulin resistance, and gut health all play a role, as do medications and chronic health conditions.
Emotional wellbeing, stress, and body image also influence eating behaviours and weight fluctuations, while modern food systems and ultra-processed diets add another layer of complexity.
Hormonal transitions like menopause or andropause can further impact weight, making a one-size-fits-all approach ineffective.
This workshop dives into the real-life challenges of managing weight today, looking at everything from biology and lifestyle habits to medical influences.
We will chat about both natural and medical tools that can support long-term weight balance and help you feel your best.
