A big thank you to the .slu & their mentor
for their visit to the Visual Art Exhibition - โThe Role of Indigenous Women in the Preservation & Transmission Of Traditional Knowledge in the Americasโ
Seeing how these young men reacted to .alexander.98 excellent depictions of the female n**e as well as his landscape pieces was amazing. They also spent the time creating their own art pieces and allowed their creative outlet to flow.
Artist Derick Alexander depiction of the female body is used as representation, with woman playing out the roles of both viewed object and viewing subject. His n**e acrylic paintings are against cultural ideals but yet the female shown are exercising a fearsome self-identity and worth.

Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Climate change involves not only rising temperatures, but extreme weather events, rising sea levels, shifting wildlife populations and habitats.
This piece depicts the consequences of unhealthy human practices, which not only negatively impacts the natural environment, but also the living organisms that rely on the natural environment for it's existence. A bold change needs to happen now.
