LET’S GET MOVING! 💪🦴
I’m excited to be taking part in Million Moves with AUSactive, running from 1–21 September 2026—and this year, my mum will be joining me! ❤️
The message behind Million Moves is one I think is incredibly important for all of us working in movement and exercise:
75% of Australians aren’t moving enough.
That’s our parents.
Our friends.
Our kids.
Our clients.
Our communities.
Million Moves isn’t just an exercise challenge—it’s a movement to change that.
As Pilates teachers, we have such an important role to play in helping people move more, build strength, improve balance and maintain their independence as they age.
And for me, Million Moves is also a wonderful opportunity to focus on bone health—including safe, appropriate exercise for people living with osteoporosis and osteopenia, as well as exercises that help build and maintain bone strength.
So this September, I’ll be moving with my mum, focusing on safe movement, strength, balance and bone health.
Because getting older shouldn't mean moving less.
Let’s get moving! 🚶♀️💪🦴

UNBREAKABLE! 💪🦴
I’ve recently started reading Unbreakable: A Woman’s Guide to Ageing with Power by Dr Vonda Wright, and I’m really enjoying it.
It’s motivating, practical and inspiring—particularly the idea that ageing doesn’t have to mean becoming less capable, less strong or less active.
It has certainly given me plenty to think about when it comes to strength, ageing, exercise and bone health.
I’ll be exploring some of Dr Wright’s concepts during my Pilates for Osteoporosis & Osteopenia annual tutorial on Sunday, 20 September, and looking at how some of these ideas can influence the way we approach exercise and bone health as we age.
If you’re a Pilates teacher working with clients with osteoporosis or osteopenia, this is such an important area to understand.

SHARE ACCOMMODATION
Are you heading to the APEI Classical Pilates Conference?
I’m excited to be heading to the APEI Classical Pilates Conference and wanted to put the call out to my Pilates community!
Is anyone else planning to attend and looking to share accommodation?
I’d love to connect with other Pilates teachers who might be interested in sharing accommodation and splitting the cost. The Meriton Suites is $1044 for three nights for a 2 bedroom suite. (one bedroom suite is $694) so if we split the cost for two bedrooms we will save $172!
The Meriton suites is a short walk to the Danks St Studio.
If you’re going and want to share, please DM me!
It would be lovely to connect with some of you at the conference!
