π’ GENERAL MEETING UPDATE ππ
A quick update for everyone attending our General Meeting at 6pm today.
π LOCATION CHANGE:
The meeting has been moved to the Jacaranda Room.
We will also be voting on the following positions at the meeting. Please see below an outline of the role requirements:
π± SOCIAL MEDIA / PUBLICITY
* Shall use any available media form to provide favourable publicity concerning Club members, activities and/or events subject to approval of the sportβs district governing bodies if required.
* Shall report to the Committee at each meeting on publicity items presented.
* Shall liaise with the Publicity Officer of the league
* Shall use any available media to provide favourable publicity for Club Sponsors with the approval of the Executive.
* Shall maintain, update and upgrade where or when necessary, the Clubβs website at the request of the Executive and in liaison with the Publicity Officer and Events Manager.
* The Webmaster must supply and/or surrender ALL intellectual property of the Club at the request and/or insistence of the Executive of the Club within 7 days written notice.
* Control and update social media platforms the club may have at any given time.
π SCORING COORDINATOR
* Shall be responsible for ensuring all team scorers are registered and loaded into the applicable scoring system(s) as required by the MBL, BNSW, or any other relevant League/Association.
* Shall ensure all team scorers have appropriate access and login credentials for the required scoring platform(s) prior to the commencement of each season.
* Shall coordinate and provide training or guidance to team scorers on the correct use of the scoring system(s), including any updates or changes to the platform during the season.
* Shall monitor that game scores and statistics are entered accurately and submitted within the timeframes required by the League/Association.
* Shall be the primary point of contact between the Club and the MBL regarding any scoring queries, system issues, or discrepancies.
* Shall report any scoring issues, incomplete records, or system problems to the Executive Committee in a timely manner.
* Shall provide a report to the Committee at each Club meeting on scorer coverage across teams and any outstanding scoring matters.
βΎ UMPIRE COORDINATOR
* Shall be the primary point of contact between the Club and the MBL regarding all umpiring matters.
* Shall recruit and coordinate a roster of Club umpires for all games where the Club is required to provide umpires as directed by the League/Association.
* Shall ensure umpire allocations are confirmed and communicated to Team Management and the League no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to game day, or as required by the League.
* Shall maintain a register of all Club-affiliated umpires including their name, contact details, accreditation level, and WWCC status.
* Shall encourage umpire recruitment from within the Clubβs membership base, including junior members, parents, and senior players.
* Shall coordinate and promote umpire training and accreditation courses as made available by the MBL, BNSW, or BA.
* Shall ensure all Club umpires hold current accreditation and a verified WWCC (where required) prior to officiating any game.
* Shall liaise with the Equipment Manager regarding the provision and maintenance of umpire equipment (where required).
* Shall report any umpire-related complaints or issues to the Executive Committee.
* Shall provide a report to the Committee at each Club meeting on umpire availability, roster coverage, and any umpiring issues.
