🌏 Earth Day 2026 | Building a More Sustainable Camp Yarramundi 🌿
This Earth Day, we’re proud to share how the new Camp Yarramundi has been designed with sustainability in mind.
The redevelopment is about more than creating new buildings - it’s about caring for this beautiful site and ensuring it can be enjoyed by future generations. From the very beginning, environmental responsibility has guided our decisions.
✨ What makes the new Camp Yarramundi sustainable?
• Solar power and smart infrastructure to support lower energy use
• Electric vehicle charging stations
• Improved water management, including water‑saving fixtures and better stormwater control
• Energy‑efficient buildings designed to reduce environmental impact
• Respect for the surrounding bushland, with careful site planning and regeneration
• Durable, low‑maintenance materials chosen to extend the life of the camp and reduce waste
Most importantly, the new Camp supports people as well as the planet - creating accessible, inclusive spaces where young people can connect with nature and learn the value of caring for their environment.
Happy Earth Day 🌱

🛠🚧The Camp Yarramundi Redevelopment Project Begins🚧🛠
As demolition begins on our historic camp buildings, we find ourselves holding mixed emotions - sadness as we farewell a cherished era, and excitement as we look ahead to a new beginning. The true history of Camp Yarramundi is not found in its buildings, but in the people, traditions, and stories that have shaped it over time.
Since 1937, Camp Yarramundi has had a profound impact on tens of thousands of people across New South Wales. This redevelopment project ensures that this legacy continues - stronger, safer, and ready to serve future generations.
Over the past 89 years, countless individuals have passed through the camp as campers and staff. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the memories you have created and the contributions you have made. You are an enduring part of Camp Yarramundi’s story, and we warmly invite you to be part of its future.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the project progresses.
