Congratulations to our beautiful daughter, Emilee Tahata on receiving this special award from our Brisbane Capitals family! πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ€

Through every challenge since 2016 she never gave up on herself or the life she was determined to live.

The adversary tried - but not today, buddy! God always conquers. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

πŸ€ WHEN YOU’RE MARRIED TO THE GAME, NO MATTER WHAT YOU GO THROUGH, YOU KEEP PLAYING πŸ€

At just 10 years old, my daughter Emilee said she wanted to become a professional basketball player.

Today, that dream has come true. πŸ₯Ή

I am incredibly proud to announce that Emilee Tahata has officially signed with the defending Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa champions, the Northern Group Tauranga Whai, for the 2026 season. πŸ’—πŸ”₯

After living away for 5 years as a student athlete playing NCAA Division I basketball in the USA, returning to Brisbane competing in NBL1 for the Brisbane Capitals to proudly represent NZ Māoris, it is time for our girl to return home to motherland and soak up her roots.

You said you would do it, Em and you did.

Congratulations, my girl. We are incredibly proud of you.

🐺πŸ”₯ WOLFPACK β€” NEW TRAINING KIT πŸ”₯🐺

Our U18 boys proudly stepped onto the court in their new Wolfpack training kit marking the beginning of a powerful new chapter.

The Pioneers built our foundations. Now, the Wolfpack carries that legacy forward with strength, unity, identity and purpose.

Different backgrounds. Different journeys. One team. One pack.

This kit is more than something we wear it represents who we are, where we have come from and the history these young men are creating together.

We don’t hunt alone.
We rise together.
We are WOLFPACK. 🐺 Springfield City

🐺πŸ”₯ WOLFPACK U12 BOYS β€” THE HUNT CONTINUES πŸ”₯🐺

After successfully challenging their way up to Division 2, our U12 Boys hosted at home last week, convincingly taking their first game before narrowly going down in their second.

Adjustments were made during the week, lessons were learned, and the boys headed into Week 2 of Division 2 ready to keep improving.

Now proudly representing in their newly arrived Wolfpack kits, these boys are making history as the first U12 Boys team to take the court under our new WOLFPACK identity. 🐺πŸ”₯

They howled into Week 2 with one goalβ€”keep getting better and hunt as a pack.

Another convincing win first up against local rivals Force set the tone for the day.

Then came the challenge against a Brisbane team we had previously lost to during grading.

This time, the boys were ready.

They showed resilience, composure and determination, pushing through a highly physical contest and refusing to let the pressure break the pack. Leading at every break, the boys stayed together and finished the job - coming away with a hard-earned win. πŸ”₯

The biggest win, however, is seeing these boys learn from every matchup, make adjustments and improve with every game they play.

They’re not just playing Division 2.

They’re proving they belong.

They’re making history as WOLFPACK. 🐺

🐺 ONE PACK. ONE HUNT. ONE GOAL.

πŸ”₯ WOLFPACK ON TOP πŸ”₯

🐺 DEFENDING THE DEN β€” U12 BOYS TEAM 2! 🐺

Another incredible day for our Team 2 Wolfpack winning both games and achieving a very special milestone by defeating Logan Thunder for the first time!

The boys also secured a fantastic win against Gold Coast, a strong team coming down from a higher division.

They played with heart, strength, endurance, stamina and maximum effort. In their second game, fatigue began to set in and Logan fought back to within one point - but our boys showed tremendous courage and resilience. They dug deep, rose above expectations and powered home to win by eight!

Two games. Two victories. The DEN defended.

We rise together as a Wolfpack, blaze the way as Pioneers and never forget our roots. πŸΎπŸ’™πŸ€ŽπŸ–€
