We have been busy getting the little Beanie ready for the next round of Hot Hatch Cup Australia out at Morgan Park Raceway which is next weekend!

She was a little battered and bruised after last round with a bent steering arm and twisted rim but she is all back together now wand looking pretty again thanks to dad's awesome skills and ready for a wheelie at the legends at Keith 4 Wheels!

We also checked the LubeAlloy Racing Oils after 3 solid rounds of racing and it's still perfect for more action! (Even though I overfilled it a little back before round 1.. haha. Oops)

It will be awesome to see the Australian Super Trucks in action out there as our support category :p

📣Nambour Sprints Weekend Wrap📣

Wow what a weekend we had at the Sunshine Coast Motor Sport Club Inc. Coastal Fasteners Pty Ltd Sprints in Nambour last weekend.

We had some mixed weather all Saturday proving tricky for the competitors including myself! Unfortunately made a silly mistake down the back and dropped it into a tire wall in my 4th run :( fortunately the damage was purely cosmetic so was able to press on for the rest of the weekend.

After Saturday it was obvious we were battling for a solid overall podium against the rapid La base australia weapons and the always fast BP Paris in his gorgeous GT3 porka.

Sunday came around and it started off very damp and the sun prevailed throughout the day with the track getting faster every run!

Just after lunch on we managed to slam home a 41.4s lap which bumped us up into P2 overall followed by another 41.6 the next lap to secure the P2 for the weekend only by a few tenths in front of Blaise the Porsche and class honours!

Special mention to Danny Laycock and Emma Thoren who crushed it at their first Nambour sprints weekend and drove amazingly!

Massive thank you to Colin, Bo, Di, Skye, Stuart, and all of the other volunteers and officials over the weekend who made it all happen! Including dad the absolute legend who have up his weekend hanging with us to flag several checkpoints.

Mega weekend last weekend in the 'Beanie' for the 3rd round of Hot Hatch Cup Australia out at Queensland Raceway. We had 6 epic races with the new chip draw/reverse grids format keeping things super interesting and fun.

We managed to creep our way to the front in 5 of the 6 races with 5x race wins and a 6th in the final race after suffering some minor damage after a minor accidental bonk (my fault for not realising Jason Pocock pulled a killer move around the outside and caught me by surprise!)

We are still leading the championship going into Round 4 at Morgan park in September with a total of +70kg success ballast to lump around in the boot of the poor little mini haha. We have a few little repairs and improvements to do before then so hopefully we can still keep her up the pointy end!

Massive thank you to Kester and the QR staff for making the weekend amazing. As well as Craig Laves, Tony Forbes, Zoe Cutmore and Emma Thoren helping with the category duties over the weekend and of course all the other legends in the HHC famiy. It's always an awesome weekend racing with quality banter :)
