Congratulations to the winners and placegetters in all categories at the 24 Severn Australasian Rogaining Championships 2026

The Burrows Waterhole All Night Café was a welcome sight for many competitors during the Australasian Rogaining Championships.

These photos capture a bit of the atmosphere around the site, along with some of the competitors passing through. A big thanks to Trevor Mullens, Craig Keeling, Kevin Piercy and Shaun Jackson for running the ANC and looking after weary rogainers throughout the night.

It was a close contest, but Queensland has edged out New Zealand to win this year's Interstate and Trans-Tasman Challenge!

Rockin' the River Metrogaine - Sunday 13 September

The event organisers have had a fantastic time putting this course together, and we think it's going to be a great day out.

Whether you're new to rogaining or a seasoned competitor, there's something for everyone. The course is ideal for novices, families and groups of friends, with plenty of opportunities to walk, jog or run at your own pace. If you've been thinking about introducing someone to rogaining, this is the perfect event.

At the same time, experienced rogainers will find no shortage of strategic decisions and route choices.

And if your four-legged friend enjoys an outing, you'll be pleased to know that most of the course is dog-friendly. Our little mate has helped test it.

We look forward to seeing you on 13 September for what promises to be a fun and rewarding day exploring Brisbane's riverside suburbs.
