Registration ends tomorrow afternoon for Club championships
You must have paid your membership fees by COB this Friday in order to play in the event.

Further to this.
Anyone struggling to pay their membership fees can make a payment arrangement with the committee( NOT PRO SHOP) to pay off their fees by a date set by the committee to be eligible for play competitions.

Last Sunday we had the final round of the McLean trophy for 2026.
Par results for the day were as follows.
A grade winner was Mark Williams with a super +2 off 8.
B grade winner was Adrian Bigmore with an outstanding +4 off 16.
C grade winner was Patrick Hynes finishing square off 23.
NTP on 1 & 10 was Michael Grant at an agonising 3cm if you don’t mind.
Superstar Chris Kouvelis taking out the 9th & 18th @ 129cm.

Naga was my mate Jade Proud -9.

Our winner in the McLean board event for 2026 is Adrian Bigmore who finished on 11 points. It’s Adrian’s first honour board victory and is well deserved, so well done mate.

18 rounds are concluded in the Westgate Cup with Nick O’Connor Smith still leading on 710pts. Zahn Holden is in 2nd place on 560 pts. This Sunday is round 19 featuring a Stableford round.

For those wanting to still enter the Club Championships kicking off on the 6th of September, please enter your name on the sheet at the club before next Wednesday afternoon. The draw for the first 2 rounds will be done next Wednesday by the match committee late arvo.
Tee times will be posted on this page soon after the draw.

Limited tee times will be available for those not playing in the champs, so get in fast as they say.

Evening folks!

Last Sunday we had a VGL medal contest.
Medallist and A grade winner was Cooper Brown with an outstanding Nett 58 off 12. Awesome round Coops.

A quinella for the Browns, saw Jonathan win B grade with a Nett 65 off 16.
The skipper taking out C grade with a Nett 66 off 22.
NTP on 1 & 10 went to Joe Dessmann @ 141cm.
Lee Graham taking out 9 & 18 @ 148cm.

Nick O’Connor Smith still sets the pace in the Westgate Cup leading on 710pts from Zahn Holden on 490.

A reminder to enter your name on the registration sheet on the club noticeboard for the Club Championships coming up.

Popular member Mark Williams will be playing in next weeks annual EJ Whitten Legends game at Marvel Stadium. All the best Willo.

B grade went to Brendan Fanning on 31 pts off 14.
C grade went to yours truly on 33 pts off 22.

Winner of the O’Neill trophy for 2026 is Sonny Holden who claims his 2nd O’Neill trophy in 4 years.
Well done Sonny for a great win and getting on the honour board again.

Runaway leader in the Westgate cup is Nick O’Connor Smith on 710 pts.
Round 17 in the cup is this Sunday.
It will be a VGL medal contest, so proper golf it is. Stroke!

Last Sunday was RD 2 of the O’Neill trophy board event, playing Stableford.
A grade winner was Shane Stuart with 36 pts off 12.
B grade winner was Cooper Brown with a stunning 41 pts off 13.
C grade winner was Andy McIntyre with 34 pts off 23.
NTP on 1 & 10 went to Coops on 71cm.
Brendan Fanning took out 9 & 18 on 132 cm.
Cooper also won a round of the Westgate Cup claiming 100 pts for his efforts.
Nick O’Connor Smith leads the cup after RD 15 on 570 pts with Zahn Holden on 490.

This Sunday is the final round of the O’Neill with Sonny Holden leading on 70 pts from Isaiah Kumar & Shane Stuart both on 66.
Throw a blanket over at least 15 players who can still claim the trophy and honor board honours for 2026.

Onto Sunday, where we hope to beat the forecast rain as much as possible.

Finally a big thank you to our greenskeeper Brett and also the helping hands of Peter Rains and Izzy for there efforts during the week with Bunker renovations. The new sand has the bunkers looking fresh and ready to test golfers nerves.
