Using my Muaythai experience from my roots learning from Three Lions Gym | Muaythai , my 5 rounders vs internationals that I got from MuayThai Super Series Australia , winning WBC MuayThai belts, IFMA Muaythai experience winning bronze and gold fighting day after day cutting weight and with injury, my Thailand stints going on Rajadamnern World Series and Fridays Rajadamnern Stadium , my 4woman tournament on Infliction Fight Series , my boxing fights, fighting at boxing states and being that person who when she trains at other gyms she really observes, takes notes (writes 7 Muaythai Bibles!!) and is constantly evolving.

I made it to Mark Pease around 10 months ago where as Hugh O'Donnell puts “burnt all the boats” and surrounded myself with people living and doing exactly what I wanted (and now am) being World Champion. Quite honestly I’ll continue to say it, this place and the people just bring out the best in me. The version of me who BACKS HERSELF.

I appreciate those who have invested and spent time into me. It’s been 2 years of fighting for my first world to have finally achieved this! I believe the reason for why NOW, which I thanked Darren Freiberg for at the end of the night of my fight, that I feel like a COMPLETE person now. When I step into that ring, I’m proud of myself in each aspect of my life because I no longer choose to play small. Charisse | Mental Performance | Coach & Researcher has kept me aware of this and aligned to my values every step of the way. I also have so many people around me day to day life that remind me of my power and never let me settle.

To those following me closely 😉 “Be You. It’s Your Superpower.” My mum Janice Bowman always told me this. Now I get it. I’ve embraced my unique brain, my personality, how I work and what I bring into my life now. No holding back. This is because I’ve taken the time to learn who I am, and who I am continuing to build upon. (Something that can never get taken away or replicated). ☺️💜

🇦🇺🏆 SUNNY MAWER – NEW WBC AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION

The rise continues for North Queensland’s Sunny Mawer, who delivered a dominant performance over the experienced Andy Juniku to capture the WBC Australian Super Lightweight Championship (63.5kg).

A huge statement victory for one of Australia’s fastest-rising stars, as Mawer adds a national title to his growing list of achievements.
