Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy

The Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy is the elite Classical Ballet School on the Gold Coast Australia.

We provide quality training in the Russian Vaganova method to children of all ages. Our students enjoy the professional atmosphere created in our purpose-built studios in Southport. Three studios with sprung-floors, Tarkett vinyl, wall-mounted barres and wall-to-wall mirrors; large dressing room and student kitchen/lounge; study room with wireless internet.

ALUMNI NEWS: Jackson Smith-Leishman 🌟
We are so proud of ABDA alumn Jackson, who has joined the Bayrisches Staatsballett (Bavarian State Ballet company) in Munich, Germany as a member of the Corps de Ballet!

Jackson trained at ABDA from 2017 to 2021, during which time he was selected as a finalist at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne International Ballet competition.

Jackson completed his training at the Royal Ballet School in London, and was then selected as an inaugural member of the Paris Opera Junior Ballet Company.

We are so excited to continue following Jackson’s professional career in Munich, and know he is destined for a bright future on stage! 🧡✨

Congratulations to our new Level 4 students who were fitted for their first pair of pointe shoes today!

Aria, Catherine, Heidi and Rio have all achieved this exciting milestone in their ballet journeys, passing their pre-pointe assessments with flying colours - let the fun begin! 🥰

And our new Level 3 girls have now progressed to their first pair of Demi-Pointe shoes - ready to take on the weekly foot strength class in preparation for pointe next year. Chloe, Joanna, Nina, Serena and Tia are all looking forward to this next step of their training with great enthusiasm! 😊

Toi Toi Toi Frances!
Wishing our gorgeous graduate Frances Ng (16) all the very best as she takes up her place at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart in Germany!

Frances began ballet at ABDA, when she was just 4 years old, and we have loved watching her grow into such a stunning dancer and beautiful human 🧡

Frances was a YAGP Finalist in Houston earlier this year, and recently danced at the iconic Sydney Opera House in the Senior Ballet Scholarship.
We are so proud and excited to watch Frances shine in Stuttgart 💫

Wishing our stunning graduate Maisy McDougall (16) all the very best as she takes up her place at the Ballet Academy of the Munich University of Music and Theatre in Germany!

Maisy has grown up at ABDA, training with us for nearly 9 years 🧡

We are so proud of the beautifully poised dancer she has become and cannot wait to see where Maisy goes from here! 💫

Toi Toi Toi Avalon!

Wishing our beautiful graduate Avalon Roberts (16) all the very best as she takes up her place at the Ballet Academy of the Munich University of Music and Theatre in Germany!

Avalon has been part of our Full-Time training program for the past two years, and during this time we witnessed an incredible transformation from student to pre-professional dancer. She secured her place at this prestigious ballet academy during our 2026 European Audition Tour.

We are so proud of the technically strong, and resilient dancer she has become, and it will be so exciting to watch her continue to thrive on this next step of her dance journey! 🌟🧡
