Another step forward for Parkour in Guam.

Parkour development in Guam has taken another step forward following a three-day coaching and development visit supported by the Oceania Gymnastics Union.

Japanese Parkour coach and international judge Jumpei Yakuwa visited Guam from 25–27 August, working with local coaches and participants to build their knowledge of Parkour coaching, safety and athlete development.

Delivered in partnership with the Guam Gymnastics Federation, the visit included two days of coach education followed by an opportunity for local coaches to put their learning into practice with participants.

GGF President Jayne Flores said the training was an important part of the Federation’s ambitions for Parkour.

“Parkour is a growing sport in Guam. This training was very important to us because with this type of continued opportunity, our goal is to have one or two Guam Parkour athletes ready to compete in the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.”

Bringing together gymnasts from across the region for training with expert international coaches.

Open to Senior, Junior and Pre-Junior gymnasts at Development and Performance levels.

Acrobatic Gymnastics Oceania Continental Training Camp
11–14 January 2027 | Brisbane, Australia
Robertson Gymnastics Academy, Tingalpa

Featuring expert international coaches and speakers.

Open to Senior, Junior, Youth, Pre-Youth and Development level gymnasts (Bronze, Silver and Gold).

Gymnastics Australia and Gymnastics New Zealand have wrapped up their campaigns at the 42nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt, competing alongside a record field of 78 nations.

Congratulations to all of our Oceania representatives who took to the world stage.

The stage is set as the 42nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships begin tonight in Frankfurt, Germany.

Gymnastics New Zealand will be represented by Havana Hopman, while Gymnastics Australia will be represented by individual gymnasts Miyabi Akiya, Sofia Hemmings and Veronika Ushakova, along with the Australian Group from Le Ray Gymnastics Academy.

On International Safe Sport Day, the Oceania Gymnastics Union joins organisations around the world in recognising that safeguarding must protect every child involved in sport, whatever role they play.

Across our Member Federations, children and young people participate not only as athletes, but also as developing coaches, judges, volunteers and representatives within their gymnastics communities. Every one of them has the right to feel safe, respected, included and heard.

🥇 A successful Commonwealth Games campaign for Oceania!

Australia and New Zealand have wrapped up an outstanding Artistic Gymnastics campaign at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with athletes from across the region delivering memorable performances on one of the sport's biggest stages.

Australia finished with an impressive nine medals (🥇4 🥈1 🥉4), highlighted by the men's historic team bronze medal – their first since 2010 – and standout performances from Jesse Moore, Breanna Scott, Kate McDonald, James Hardy and Georgia Godwin, who became Australia's most decorated Women's Artistic Gymnastics athlete at the Commonwealth Games.

New Zealand also impressed with multiple finals appearances, led by Courtney McGregor's fifth-place finish in the vault final, alongside strong performances from Daniel Stoddart, Alex Istock, Jun McDonald and Sienna Shields.

Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, judges and officials who proudly represented Oceania in Glasgow.

🏅 Glasgow 2026 starts now!

The Commonwealth Games are here and Oceania will once again be proudly represented by Gymnastics Gymnastics Australia and Gymnastics New Zealand top artistic gymnasts.

Across five days of competition, athletes will compete for team, all around and apparatus medals as they take on some of the Commonwealth's best.
