The greens are open for play throughout the year. The clubhouse is licensed, contains a commercial kitchen and is available for hire.

Ian Benson Day is coming up on Sunday week.20th September. We will also be officially open the greens with the rolling of the jack and bowl by two of our life members. The price has been reduced to $15.00 per player and includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea and some great prizes.

Somerville Bowling Club was represented by Linda and Shirley at the Bendigo Bank Pearcedale presentation dinner on July 21st where they received a cheque for $2,132.00 which allowed the club to purchase two 3 metre aluminium seats with back rests
as part of the clubs seat replacement program. Linda and Shirley thanked the bank for their generous and continued support.

July has been another busy month at the club. On 12 July, members enjoyed a successful Trivia Afternoon with nibbles, great prizes and plenty of laughs. Thank you everyone who generously contributed prizes to make the day such a success. Congratulations to the Social Committee on a well-organised afternoon.
The major $5.00 raffle with a first prize of $160.00 proved very popular, other prizes included a $50.00 voucher from Resting Toucher and 2x$25 vouchers from Baxter Tavern

The Somerville Social Committee presented there first social event of the year which has something for everybody, starting with a game of bowls followed by an afternoon of fun trivia. Bowls at 1.00pm and fun trivia from 3.00pm. Come and join the fun on July 12th, names on the sheet in the foyer, member, friends and family welcome, bowling optional. $10.00 for bowls and trivia, $5.00 for Trivia only.
Unfortunately the bowls was cancelled due to the weather.
The Trivia when ahead and was well supported by members and friends, the major raffle raised almost $600.00 , the first prize of &160 was won by Brian Y other prizes included a $50.00 voucher from Resting Toucher and two $25.00 from Baxter Tavern.
There was plenty of food to go around, our thanks go to the volunteers who did an excellent job to set the room up and providing the food. Due to the success of the event 4 visitors have applied for membership, well done Linda. Our quiz master Darryl rose up to the challenge.
