🚴 BACKING OUR JUNIORS | SCC JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT FUNDING

Following last year’s AGM, SCC set a clear direction for the future of the club, including an ambitious goal:

🏆 To develop junior talent into world champions.

We know that if we’re going to say it, we need to back it.

The committee has now introduced the SCC Junior Development Funding Program to help support our junior riders as they progress through State, National and International competition.

This program provides financial support for eligible SCC juniors competing at higher levels, helping ease the growing costs of travel, accommodation and racing.

We have some incredibly talented young riders coming through SCC, and we want to support them as they take the next step in their journey—whether that’s State Championships, National Series, or beyond.

This is about the club investing directly in our juniors and their future.

At Shepparton Cycling Club, we’ve made no secret of one of our biggest ambitions:

We’ve been working on something behind the scenes that will see SCC directly invest in our junior riders and help support them as they take their racing to higher levels.

Shepparton Cycling Club starlet Isla Shaw has claimed the 2026 Victorian Junior Road Series title - before following this up with a double triumph at the Victorian Junior Road State Championships 🥇

🏆 DOUBLE STATE CHAMPION & VICTORIAN SERIES WINNER! 🏆

What an incredible weekend for Isla Shaw!

After a fantastic season, Isla has officially claimed the 2026 BBB Cycling Victorian Junior Road Series (VJRS) title, finishing on top after five rounds of consistent racing across Victoria.

As if that wasn’t enough, she backed it up yesterday at the Victorian Junior Road State Championships by taking home two gold medals:
🥇 U17 Women’s Individual Time Trial State Champion
🥇 U17 Women’s Road Race State Champion

To win a state series is a huge achievement. To then add two State Championship jerseys in the same weekend is something truly special and a testament to Isla’s hard work, dedication and determination throughout the season.

Congratulations, Isla! Everyone at the Shepparton Cycling Club is incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. We can’t wait to see what comes next as your cycling journey continues. 💙🚴‍♀️
