Very proud of this young man’s efforts representing Orion Jiu Jitsu/ ONYA Jiu-Jitsu / Judo / Yoga para Lutas at the AFBJJ national championships.

After being knocked out of his division in the first round he made a fantastic comeback in the Absolute. The Absolute was a deep division that required Jared Pitolau to adapt to multiple styles of Jiu Jitsu. Matching up with the gold medalist of his ultra heavy division in the first round he sprang back from his original loss and went on a run through a mix of fellow giants and dangerous guard players.

Jiu Jitsu competition demands a lot from those that step up to the challenge. Jared rose to it this weekend. Well done 👏👏👏

Most will never know how much goes into getting here.

Not only the dream of the win but the work and effort it takes to step foot into competition. The peaks and the valleys can come quick and important battles must be won on the way to the battle itself.

This peak belongs to Jared Pitolau who we are immensely proud of. Hold your chin up high and be proud of all your work because we certainly are.

Proud is an understatement. I am beyond proud of our graders, our team that supported them at home and on the day at , our friends at and the .martial.arts association as a whole.

So proud of these four (as I am all our Junior students wether they compete or not) 💪

Over 15 years ago we produced Shepparton’s first adult champions and we couldn’t be more wrapped to have these little legends follow in our footsteps while they blaze their own paths in Jiu Jitsu.

While I openly admit I am no good at social media we are very good at Jiu Jitsu, and it is always a highlight of my week to teach the next generation in our Cubs & Ninjas programs.
