We’re just 4 weeks out!!!!

We’ve been quiet of late, but rest assured, we’re on for September 😀 it’s going to be a fantastic event this year with just over 90 entries.

Currently there are a number of flood issues occurring in Shepparton off the back of the heavy rain in the last week, which has unfortunately caused issues for our friends at the shepparton_running_festival, who have done what they always do and adapted.

We expect this to not be an issue in September, but we are monitoring the situation closely.

We can’t wait to celebrate the 5th GV with you all.

Its been a week since 2 Rivers, what a crazy weekend it was. Huge shout out to host of the for his continuous support for our events over the years.

Congrats to Patto on his 18th backyard ultra, and 12th over 24!

And we have a winner!!!! On yard 33, Kane called his crew to be picked up. Rendering Jacob the winner as he finished yard 33.

An amazing effort by all runners, crews and volunteers.

The ultimate DNF is to not complete a yard, leaving it all on the course, and we saw this with so many runners this weekend, including Kane.

Well done to everyone.

Kane's crew pointed my attention to the starting direction where we found Patto walking back in.
He got to 1.5km and determined that he just couldn't manage it. It just isnt his day.

All 3 continue. These yard times are great, all getting in within 50 minutes, plenty of time to do what they have to do to get back out there.

2 more to the 200km mark, and the start of the second night

Down to 3, out on yard 26 now. Its cool, breezy, but the rain is holding off, these guys are all here for 1 reason, and 1 only. To WIN.
For 2 of them, this is known territory, for one, its all new, but naviagtion is a strong point.

After going out on 25, Andy has turned around, unable to eat properly for over 12 hours, it was time to finish up.
It wasnt his goal, but still an amazing effort.
Well done Andy!!!
