🎉 EXCITING NEWS FOR THE SEYMOUR SHARKS! 🦈🏊‍♂️

We are thrilled to acknowledge the generous support of Inland Rail through their grant program, which provided Seymour Sharks Swimming Club with $4,000 in funding! 🙌

The funding has gone towards the purchase of a timing system for our club, providing our coaches and swimmers with valuable tools to accurately track performance, monitor progress and support swimmer development.

This is a fantastic investment in the future of our club and will be a valuable resource for our swimmers and coaching team for years to come.

We are incredibly grateful to Inland Rail for recognising and supporting our project. Community support like this makes a real difference to local sporting clubs and helps us continue to provide opportunities for our swimmers to grow, develop and achieve their goals. 💙

🦈 Day 3 & Championship Wrap-Up! 🏊‍♂️💙

What a fantastic way to finish the Victorian Age Short Course Championships!

On the final day, Darby took to the pool for his final two events and finished the meet in style! 🔥

⭐ 100m Butterfly — Darby swam 1:08.95, securing an impressive 2.63 second PB!

⭐ 50m Freestyle — He followed up with a time of 27.56, taking another 0.59 seconds off his previous best! 👏

What an incredible three days of racing at the State Championships! From determined swims and huge PBs to outstanding performances and a 🥈 Silver Medal, it has been a championship to remember.

A huge congratulations to all of our Seymour Sharks swimmers — Kai, Jack, Chloe and Darby. You represented the club beautifully, competed with determination and should all be incredibly proud of your achievements. 💙🦈

A big thank you to our wonderful coaches, Kylie, Jas and Mark, for their preparation, guidance and support of our swimmers in the lead-up to and throughout the championships. Your time, dedication and commitment to helping our swimmers achieve their goals is greatly appreciated. 💙

Congratulations, Darby! What a phenomenal swim in tonight's 200m Backstroke Final at the Victorian Age Short Course Championships! 🔥

After a massive PB in the heats this morning, Darby found another gear tonight, dropping an incredible 2.15 seconds from his morning time!

Touching the wall in 2:17.62, Darby claimed the SILVER MEDAL 🥈👏

An outstanding performance and a fantastic reward for all the hard work and dedication. We are incredibly proud of you, Darby!

Another fantastic morning of racing for Darby at the Victorian Age Short Course Championships!

⭐ 100m Freestyle — Darby clocked 59.66, securing a 0.24 second PB in a highly competitive event! 🔥

⭐ He followed this with consistent swims in both the 200m Freestyle and 100m Individual Medley.

⭐ The highlight of the morning came in the 200m Backstroke, where Darby finished 4th after the heats with a time of 2:19.77, smashing his previous best by an incredible 5.95 seconds! 🔥

That swim has secured Darby another spot in the final tonight! 👏

What a positive morning of swimming for our four Seymour Sharks at the Victorian Age Short Course Championships! 💙

Congratulations to Kai, Jack, Chloe and Darby on a fantastic morning. All four swimmers competed strongly, gave their best and represented the Sharks beautifully. 🦈👏

⭐ Kai swam an awesome 27.34 in his 50m Freestyle — a determined swim in a hotly contested event, securing a 0.09 second PB! 🔥

⭐ Chloe had two strong and consistent swims in the 100m Breaststroke and 200m Freestyle, fighting hard right through to the finish in both events. 💪

⭐ Jack put together two impressive performances in the 100m Breaststroke and 100m Backstroke, showing great determination across both events.

⭐ Darby kicked off his day with a huge 5.72 second PB in the 400m Freestyle, touching in 4:49.05! He backed it up with another fantastic swim in the 100m Backstroke, clocking 1:04.16 for a 1.17 second PB and finishing 4th after the heats! 🔥

A massive congratulations to all four swimmers — what a great way to start the championships!
