Massive congratulations to Layla on successfully completing her Zen Do Kai blue belt grading last night.
Absolutely one of the strongest gradings I seen in a very long time.
Working on self defence applications and pressure testing in the lead up, she was able to identify any body mechanics issues and rectify them with minimal assistance.
The padwork and sparring component, well we all got to see that. She was pushed right to the edge but was able to keep swinging right up to the end. To have everyone in the dojo cheering her on through the last round was something I will remember for a long time.
Thank you to Matt for his efforts during the padwork and sparring component to ensure that Layla was pushed hard. Also to Cheyenne for keeping class running whilst I was overseeing grading duties.
Great work team, I appreciate each and every one of you. 🙏
