SO CLOSE- fly in fly out member Peter Cleave had one of those days yesterday. After 4 months of working o/s he returned with a fine 37pts to win B grade. He then purchased the last 2 numbers on the wheel and won top prize of $100 cash. Now to the photo: this plug mark was millimetres from slam dunking the 4th for Hole in One. THE MAGNIFICENT- Austral Grass-tree (Xanthorrhoea australis). Photo 1 is an exceptional example of an ancient multi-headed specimen estimated to be at least 200 yrs old. Located on course, in a protected area, it is our privilege to care for these spectacular trees. You will also recognise the grass-tree as our logo.
