Tonight, the HBSGFC held our AGM, we would like to thank the previous committee for their time, dedication & commitment over the past 12 months and for their support with helping the club grow and the re-introduction of a syllabus after COVID.

Vic Fish Kids is BACK for 2022! 🎉

Thanks to the State Government’s $35 million Go Fishing Victoria plan, we’re holding four FREE Vic Fish Kids events at:

🎣 Williamstown, Gem Pier - Sunday March 6
🎣 Bendigo, Kennington Reservoir - Sunday May 1
🎣 Moorabbin, Karkarook Lake – Sunday May 15
🎣 Seymour, Goulburn Park – Sunday May 22

Designed to give youngsters the chance to catch a new hobby in a safe and supportive environment, they’re also a great day out for the whole family with plenty to do including casting clinics and competitions, kids activities, education trailers and emergency service displays.

Kicking off at Williamstown on Sunday March 6, our first Vic Fish Kids event of the year will be attended by VFA Ambassador and three-time Richmond premiership player, Bachar Houli. He loves his fishing so if you’re a keen fisher and Richmond fan, you won’t want to miss this!

There will be 32 clinics run over the four events, each an hour long, led by fishing expert and Vic Fish Kids Ambassador, Lee Rayner, and assisted by Fishcare Victoria Inc. volunteers and Fisheries Officers.

Best of all, kids who attend the clinics will receive a FREE fishing rod to take home!

Today the Hobsons Bay Sport & Game Fishing Club along with Altona Sports & The Red Shed held an interclub whiting challenge. Its our first challenge in quite a while. Great turnout!

This year we once again held onto the plaque, the challenge was won by Dave Cassar, Nathan Cassar & Lou Falzon.
