Kai'Opua Outrigger Canoe Club Australia

An epic day for the Kai Opua team today competing in the 12km Sandridge Bay Classic. It was awesome being out on the water with around 100 craft; from outriggers to surf skis to SUP boards.

Everyone fought hard and we managed to finish in just under 1.5hrs. no podium today but plenty of pride.

Thanks to the organisers and sponsors for an awesome event.

All up with the course, the warm up and the 3km commute to and from Sandridge, the team paddled around 20km in total. Go team!

Held every year, this event brings clubs together from across the country. A great social event spanning 50km with good company, great wine and just a touch of competitive spirit!
