Scarborough get the flag!!!

It was a tight 75-74 win over Midland Morrison this afternoon to take the Saturday Open Gender 2nd Division pennant after beating Leeming this morning. Well done to today's 16 and all who contributed through the season.

After a strong season to earn top spot on the ladder, Scarborough's 2nd Division Open Gender team will make the long awaited return to 1st Division next season!

This season is not yet over, however, because this Saturday the 21st Scarborough hosts the 2nd Division Pennant finals for a chance at the flag.

Come down and show your support from 9.30am for Scarborough v Leeming. Morning success would mean a pennant grand final in the afternoon against the winners of Warnbro v Midland Morrison.

Scarborough has some new champions!

Well done to Paul Hosking, Arren Zis and Greg Ritchie, who battled it out over two days to defeat a Perth Bowling Club team in the final 21-8 in the 2nd Division and Under State Triples. Well done to the team for claiming the title and thanks to all the supporters!

From the same day's bowls, Scarborough's Kiera Redden received a special mention in today's paper alongside her sister, Casey Gilchrist (Margaret River Bowling Club, former Scarborough) for their efforts in the Women's State Pairs. While they didn't succeed in their section, they did strongly challenge current Commonwealth Games pairs gold medalist (Kristina van Nierop) and 2024 Australian Open singles champion (Laura Butler), holding them to a draw in their match late on a hot day.

Updates coming in from Osborne Park that Paul Hosking, Arren Zis and Greg Ritchie are currently playing semi-finals of the 2nd Div and Under Triples. Good bowls!

Scarborough's Chris Lander and Ross Cunningham have reached the Men's State Pairs quarter finals, playing today at Como Bowling and Recreation Club Inc. and with live results updated at this Bowls WA link.

Another Scarborough team of Paul Hosking and Chris Doyle made it through their section, but were defeated in knockouts.

Quarter final action (right through to the Grand Final) in the Dyenamic Sublimation Bowls WA Men's State Pairs happens at the Como Bowling Club today.
