🔴🔵🔴🔵 Qld Short Course Day 4 🔵🔴🔵🔴

The final day of racing saw Xander and Amber jump into the pool. Amber had a great race in her 50m Back only slightly off her PB after a bout of illness, you should be proud of your effort.

Xander smashed out a 400 free where he dropped 10 seconds and earned his second bronze medal🥉 of the meet, huge congratulations 🎉. Then slashed 3.5 seconds of his 200IM time to finish off a very successful meet.

A great way to finish off the Short Course season as we look forward to the Long Course Season as the weather warms up 💪🏊

Today we had Xander hit the pool in the 100 and 200 Freestyle where he smashed 2 x PBs 👀 and a top 10 result in the 200m Free 👏 Congratulations Xander 🏊

What a fantastic weekend of racing from our junior stars, 11 PBs from 15 races and a top 5 finish from Xander in the 200m Freestyle.

Special mention goes to Tilly who was about to race 50m Backstroke when the fire alarm went off and evacuation was ordered, still putting up a great result despite the unexpected delay.

Proud of these swimmers for stepping up, racing with confidence, and achieving so many personal bests. The hard work, commitment, and positive attitude shown at training are paying off, and it's fantastic to see everyone challenging themselves and improving.

Remember, every PB is a sign of progress and proof that consistency matters. Keep believing in yourselves, keep supporting each other, and keep chasing those goals.

Congratulations to our Southern Cross superstars who braved some fresh winter breezes today and swam very well.

Great racing skills all day which makes a very happy Coach Cam 🤝

Special mention to Isobel on her first meet, although I think her highlight was laying in the sunshine between the races 😅
