👍🏻This Week’s Learnings

🔵My Tips for Recovery and Healthy Habits

I rarely cancel classes because I usually stay on top of my health. However, when nausea strikes, there is little you can do as a movement teacher to stay focusI if nauseous arrives & I tried herbal remedies such as licorice tea, but they didn’t help, so I had to cancel classes and head home early.

🟡My number one priority when recovering is sleep. If my body needs it, I’m happy to be in bed by 8 p.m. Quality sleep has been the most effective form of recovery for me.

🟣Here are my top tips for building healthy habits:

1. Prioritize Sleep
Despite the demands of modern life, adequate sleep remains essential for overall health, brain function, and emotional wellbeing. Most adults need seven to eight hours of sleep each night. If you regularly feel tired, foggy, or find yourself wanting to nap during the day, your body may be asking for more rest.

2. Choose Nutrient-Rich Foods
Include foods that support your health, such as avocado, walnuts for brain function, turmeric and ginger, ceremonial cacao, cinnamon for immune support, kefir for gut health, and a little cayenne pepper in your lunch or dinner.

3. Move Your Body Regularly
Exercise benefits both physical and mental health. Regular movement can reduce stress, ease anxiety, improve mood, and boost self-esteem. Even small amounts of activity make a difference.

The key is consistency, not intensity. Avoid jumping into an overly demanding routine, as this often leads to frustration and soreness.

4. Practice Gratitude
Gratitude can have a powerful impact on your mood, hope, and happiness. Start each day by acknowledging something you’re grateful for, whether while brushing your teeth or waiting for your morning alarm.

Throughout the day, look for positive moments, both big and small. It might be the support of a loved one or the satisfaction of achieving a goal.

5. Give Genuine Compliments
Research suggests that acts of kindness can increase feelings of satisfaction and wellbeing. Offering a sincere compliment is a simple way to brighten someone’s day while also lifting your own spirit

🟠Happy Weekend 🧘🏻‍♀️😊

16/08/2026

Last weekend, I took part in the Swiss Festival 🇨🇭❤️in Melbourne. While chatting with visitors at my stall, I shared the services I’m most passionate about: movement, myofascial release, crystal therapy and gridding workshops, retreats, Reiki/Pellowah, and sound massage. I also shared a few fun facts about myself, my hobbies, and the paths I might have taken if I hadn’t become a Pilates teacher. Now I’d love to hear about you—drop a comment below.

🇮🇹🍝I’m a big fan of Italian food and music. If we ever dine at a traditional Italian restaurant and an Al Bano and Romina Power song starts playing, there’s a good chance I’ll start humming along—badly enough to risk being asked to leave.

🪄🪶I love energy work and connecting with like-minded people. If you go for a walk with me, be prepared to stop often—I seem to spot feathers everywhere.

🧹🧙‍♀️Keeping my home and space energetically cleansed is essential to me.

🧘🏻‍♀️I always carry crystals, and the boot of my car is stocked with everything needed for a mat Pilates session.

💫I plan my retreats, workshops, and SOMA VITA events around the moon cycle, and my annual business planning is guided by the cosmic forecast.

🏂If I hadn’t become a Pilates teacher, I’d probably be a snowboard instructor in Switzerland.

🛩️And if reincarnation exists, I’m coming back for a career in aviation—Pilatus PC-21, take a deep breath and fasten your seatbelt.
Similar name to pilates but not quite the same
Haha, I love that comparison! Pilatus and Pilates may sound similar, but one definitely comes with a lot more speed and adrenaline. Wishing me a smooth flight into that aviation career in my next lifetime! ✈️

☘️🌳My monthly essentials include outdoor adventures and infrared sauna sessions.

🧘🏻‍♀️My personal body maintenance routine is non-negotiable. Pilates mats can be found in my living room, office, and studio, while massage balls seem to appear in every corner. I’m a devoted myofascial release enthusiast.

😌Meditation and protecting my energy are also non-negotiable.

Dear Everyone,

For more than 12 years, I have been passionate about teaching Myofascial Release, helping people move with greater ease, reduce pain and better understand their bodies. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing clients gain the knowledge and confidence to care for themselves—both in the studio and at home.

At Create Movement, you can learn the latest myofascial release techniques and fascia research through group classes, private sessions, workshops and retreats.

Participants are introduced to a wide range of high-quality myofascial release tools. I’ll guide you in understanding which tools to use, when to use them and how they can support your body safely and effectively.

Myofascial Release can be especially beneficial if you are experiencing:

• Persistent pain after a fall or injury
• Back, neck or shoulder pain
• Postural imbalances that have developed over time
• Recovery following hip or knee replacement surgery
• Pain, stiffness or reduced mobility after surgery or immobilisation

I also offer personalised rehabilitation exercise programs and home visits for older adults, including gentle Pilates, chair-based movement, and support for those living with mild dementia, Parkinson’s disease or recovering from a stroke.

My goal is not only to help you feel better during our sessions, but to empower you with practical tools and knowledge that you can confidently use in your everyday life.

If you’ve been wondering how to improve your posture, move with greater freedom or better care for your fascia, I’d love to welcome you into one of my classes or work with you in a private session.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to book a class, private consultation, workshop or retreat.

I look forward to supporting you on your movement journey.

Warm regards,

Claudia
