Yes that's the wood from the spoke of a Model T
The year is unknown but believed to be early 1920's
Pictured in the background is another actual spoke

The Pen incorporates a train track made from strips of copper & copper wire which runs up a valley between some pieces of Brown Mallee burl edge .. some sand was added to look like rocks and boulders
The pen holder is magnetic to hold the pen in place
The stand is made from Aussie Hardwood Burl pieces and the Train and Track is N-Gauge
I haven't glued the train to the track yet and I don't think I will but it could be easily done if required
